have you ever considered the spark you ignited in me, my dear fire? how every part of you is exactly the voice of everything warm.

The waves split half as the Striker zoomed through the shallow shores of the island’s territory, it was just a casual ride he said as he made a promise to Miru that he would show the wonders of his prized raft. 

“Ace, slow down, I’m holding onto my dear life here!” She barked, the loud sound of the engine forcing her to speak up. Miru sat on the edge of the raft away from Ace who was surfing the Striker with his devil fruit powers, she didn’t wish to come in contact with the flames, even when he had told her the fire wouldn’t burn her to crisp, however she wanted to play safe from the fire.

“Firefly, come here!!! I promise I made sure the fire wouldn’t hurt you.” Ace snickered, motioning her to come closer.

“Nu-uh. I-I’m fine, here!” She yelled, her tone holding a hint of fear. It wasn’t that she was afraid of the sea, dear no, it was the fact he was speeding through the waters and the fire near her triggered her flight or fight senses. 

A chuckle came from Ace, he knew her like the back of his hand after all.

“Okay then I’m coming to you.” His signature grin plastered on his face as he took a step towards her. The Striker was still soaring through the waves, but with Ace taking more steps further from the engine he was supposed to power, it caused an imbalance of the raft, the waves threatening to swallow them.

“Portgas D. Ace!!! Take one more step towards me and I’ll punch you!!!” Her warning was lightly disregarded as he took one more step to her.

“Oh, come on, Miru!! I want to sit by your side and smooch or two.” He chuckled before leaning down to her eye level. And as if things wouldn’t get more unfortunate, a strong wave knocked the raft upside down, causing them both to be thrown into the sea.

“Ace!!!” Her yell and his gasp was the last thing they heard before landing face first to the sea.

My brain made me thought of Ace jaw dropping at the sight of Miru's somewhat large chest (How did it grow? Last time he saw they weren't as big as this-- well, maybe she is still a growing adult), but it was actually her stuffing the bra with bread for emergency food.
