Janiya was being so totally very sneaky, glancing at Ace from across the cafeteria like a deer in headlights every now and then. Just... go over there and say hi, right? Not hard at all! ...Janiya was frozen in her seat for the past ten minutes. But it really shouldn't be hard in theory! She didn't know the other girl well, but from what Leon said, she seemed nice...! Hopefully! Maybe!

Mentally kicking herself, she got up-- And balling up a napkin she hadn't even used yet, she figured she might as well use that as an excuse to go over there. Because obviously she couldn't just walk across the room for no reason or just because she wanted to, that'd be so weird! Yep! Just walking to the farthest possible trash can on the other side of the room despite there being one she was sitting beside just now! The least suspicious line of reasoning ever that she totally didn't realize halfway through her trek, resulting in her wanting to melt into the floor but then she decided not to do a 180 and give up because that'd just be even more mortifying if she was already walking this way.

'Trash' dropped into the can, she veered towards Ace's table and slowly raised a hand in greeting, " ...Oh, um, hi there...! W... Wow, funny bumping into you... How... are you....??" ...Those were things normal social people said to other normal people, right?? Someone shoot her.

He hadn't been planning anything specific, really, but the idea came spontaneously when he approached, and hanging with Ace was always a good time. Might as well do something together, since his day had been unbearably uneventful thus far. Not for long, with her.

" He posed the offer as if she basically already agreed, " Been wanting to kick someone's ass at air hockey, and can't exactly play it alone. We can grab something to eat after, too, if you want. " His treat, of course, not that he'd make it a big deal or anything.
