I'm finally ready to break my silence and share my Acestarion agenda with you guys.
I like to think of Astarion as a sex-repulsed asexual. There's one person he ends up being comfortable enough with (his partner), but even then I believe he rarely initiates, and when he does it's more about trust, care and closeness than horniness.
Yes, when he expresses disgust at the thought of engaging in intimacy, that is likely due to trauma. But when you think of it like that, it will always be something that was done to him. I like to think of it as just a part of his sexuality because this way he gets to own it.
