JD: Phéa Nox just moved on after discovering her lover found someone else and discovered herself right then and there😊
Me: NUH AH
WDYM they both just moved on?!
I'm a Chappell Roan fan so let me be annoying about this.
Good Luck, Babe! is about a lesbian trying to move on and her former lover regretting her choices. The song literally has lyrics about how the past lover regrets marrying a man and how the singer(in this case Phéa) had, "told her so". There's almost no way that either would just, "move on".
And from what little I know about allosexuality, people tend to get into a lot of relationship drama for far less. Sure it's interesting that Phéa was chill about it. But the lyrics tell a different story. "I don't wanna call it off, but you don't wanna call it love," sure doesn't sound like Phéa would be ready to move on immediately😐
And they could have done so much with the imagery and symbolism of the phoenix as well. Maybe after struggling and finally truly moving on, she discovers herself. And is "reborn" as a better version of who she was and a lot stronger because of it. But no, she just found out with nothing interesting happening.
There's no way the lore couldn't have been more interesting.
This might be the first time I'm going to ignore the lore and go with my own because JD lore sure makes me feel like a better story teller lol
