Day off. Quiet slow morning then went to Norwich and got a pair of whiskey glasses and a magazine rack. Came home and tried to tackle dissertation + sermon prep + church prep. Feeling just a bit flat tonight. Not overwhelmed or stressed, but just a low-grade buzz of “unsettledness.” Praying that I return to the joy of salvation. Tomorrow morning all His mercies are new to me < Gospel.

10 Most Beautiful Places In The World - Galapagos Archipelago
With a world as large as the one we all live in, it is very hard to define only 10 places that could make a list like this. There are more than likely hundreds of potential runners up who could have easily made this list if only it were longer. We have compiled a comprehensive list, along with photographs to try to bring to you the 10 most beautiful places in the world. Some of these are famous cities that you can travel to, while other places are more of a destination in themselves. It is places like these that cause us to dream of exotic vacations, adventure, and overall excitement when we want to get away.
10 Most Beautiful Places In The World
1. Galapagos Archipelago, Ecuador
The Galapagos Islands, as they are also called, is a place of wonder. This is the location where the explorer Charles Darwin discovered that evolution occurred among animals. He was able to not that the species of animals on these islands had features that did not match their counterparts back on the main continent. The remote location of the islands cut off the connection between the animals on the island and those back in Ecuador. Because of the time and the remoteness the animals here adapted different characteristics in order to better survive.
The Archipelago as a whole is a protected area now, because the species are so rare and delicate that human interaction has proven to negatively impact their existence. Some tourism is allowed to the island, but otherwise they are heavily protected by laws. Visitors who wish to travel to the Galapagos Island must endure the 500 mile journey from the coast of Ecuador (the closest mainland). There are 18 main islands in all, which make up the entire Archipelago.
The Galapagos islands are home to the Marine Iguana, Galapagos Tortoise, and many other unique species. The animals are not the only things to adapt differently to life on the islands. Plants are also know to have changed in ways that enabled them to better live on the islands.
