imagine reading a book where the mc suffers from acne. i mean i wouldn't want anyone to know that pain but just imagine reading your innermost thoughts written there. the mc constantly indulges in self pity and insecurity and you just relate. imagine it being your comfort book, and you wouldn't want to finish it but at the same time you want the mc to not feel like that anymore bcoz you would want the same. imagine the mc being able to love themselves despite of their acne. ugh i just want that book rn
October has come to an end, acne however seems never ending
Eyes up here
Not the best depicture of my acne but it’s one I’m comfortable with. Haven’t been thorough with medication or any topical skincare routine lately.
We need more acne representation in tv shows in movies. When I was younger, and even now, I would love love love to see a cartoon character (that isn't the stereotypical bully/villain) who has acne.
omg i’m watching this show called snowfall on viaplay and i noticed this beauty! look at her skin! and yet she’s still gorgeous!!!!!!!! this makes me so happy and makes me realize how stupid it is of me to think i’m ugly because of my acne
acne representation is so important. acne is usually portrayed as something negative and unattractive that vanishes in your twenties. we need more characters in TV with skin conditions that are portrayed in a positive light. i want characters with acne whose acne is never even mentioned. normalize acne!!!!!!!!
i’m tired of having to explain my skin. i’m tired of people looking at me and waiting for me to tell them why my skin is how it is. i want people to look past that and see who i am inside. characters like this make it easier for others to do so.
