Fun fact: I still haven’t deleted Megatown. I don’t know WHAT to do with it. What’s the best action to take with it? Wait until someone pings me to move out, tell them not to, write down the date somewhere, and then just... never play it again?

Or would I be better off hosting a giveaway to let people plunder my entire town’s inventory so that its rare items will go to other homes? Would that be worthwhile? Are there going to be new players out there just picking this game up who need them?

I honestly don’t know, but right now my policy of playing for ten or fifteen minutes each day just to check in and move Rika to the island for tanning purposes isn’t very fulfilling for anyone. I just copied over about 500 screenshots from my SD card to my PC, and they went back about three weeks.

The worst part is that I actually feel less engaged with New Horizons than I did with New Leaf, because it requires less, I don’t know, “maintenance,” I guess. Fewer events. Just pop in, hit the rocks, dig up the money spot, check turnip prices sometimes, and that’s about it.

I’m not sure what my best plan going forward is, but my wish from December that I “figure something out” certainly hasn’t come true yet.

I didn’t realize that sometimes, when you ask villagers to move in, they make a bet with you where they only move in if you beat them in a game. Kitty just made me a bet that if I could beat her in charades, she’d move in (to Redding). If I lost, I’d have to give her my shovel.

That being said, I still have my shovel and will soon have kitty :y
