Do you know how or know of a place/blog that has a blazer tutorial?

Basically my main recommendation for QR code making is to experiment! Try things out, see how they look, play with ideas! ACNLapparel’s generalizable tutorials were very useful for me in figuring out things like neckline shape, how to make bows, skirts, etc. But really the only way to learn is to try! And in the grand scheme of Animal Crossing, 500 bells is nothing.

But to answer your real question:

Basically, to make a blazer you first create a deep v-neck, and then put a thin collar around the outside of that. You can decide if you want your collar to go straight along the side, or if you want it to have a nick taken out of it. You can follow acnlapparels tutorials for necklines and collars.

Then, draw a line all the way across the back of the jacket, and add detail to the sleeves!

Here is one I whipped up to show you how yours might look (again, I spent like 20 minutes on this and I am not an expert):

Hey guys! Here's a quick and (hopefully) fun reminder of all the great stuff we have in store for November!

In this guide we will cover the holidays, weather (grass change), bugs and fish to catch, and villager birthdays!

Holidays and Events

It’s Mushroom Season! Daily, you will find up to 5 mushrooms around your town. One of these mushrooms with be a piece of the Mush series.

The Nooklings shop will sell the Harvest series from the first until the 27th of November.

Fishing Tourney, Saturday November 15 9am-6pm, Chip will ask for either Carp, Crucian Carp, or Black Bass.

The Harvest Festival is on (American) Thanksgiving! Which, this year, is the 27th! See this guide on how to play the Harvest Festival!

Weather

The sweet olive bushes will be flowering all of this month (from the 1st until the 30th), and beginning on the 30th the holly bushes will begin to bud.

On the 2nd, the deciduous trees will become orange. Then, on the 12th and the 18th, they will continue to darken until on the 26th they turn almost brown. Enjoy them while they last, because soon enough they'll be covered in snow!

The grass will also darken, following the trees' lead.

ACNL Outbox Guide

Hi everybody, I am here today with a quick (ish) explanation of the outbox! This will be a combination of my own experimentation and other relevant info I found while researching. Hopefully this guide will give you a better idea of what your outbox is, how it works, and how you can safely visit towns/have people visit you without accidentally transferring any villagers!

Your outbox is basically a stack of villagers that have left your village. For the purpose of this guide, only the MOST RECENT villager in your outbox is important.

2) When do villagers enter the outbox?

Villagers enter the outbox and go to the top of the stack when they leave your village without getting picked up by another player. If somebody visits you and gets a villager from you that is in boxes, that villager will leave your village without going into your outbox. Once a villager goes into your outbox, all other villagers in your outbox are basically lost (so you can think of it as you only get to have one villager in your outbox at a time if you want).

3) When do villagers leave the outbox?

Villagers leave the outbox when you a) visit another player, b) have a player visit you, or c) street pass somebody (though I haven’t done that last one myself). Whenever you do any of these your outbox becomes empty again.

4) How do villagers get picked up from the outbox by other players?

OK so say you just had Ruby move out of your town. Nobody came over to pick her up, so she is now at the top of your outbox. Your friend who has less than 10 villagers visits your town. Your outbox will be emptied and Ruby WILL move in to your friend’s town. I have done this 5-10 times and it has happened 100% of the time. You can also transfer villagers through street pass (can be turned on/off in system settings), though I’ve never done this myself. Untested is whether the 2nd villager in your outbox will be transferred instead of Ruby if your friend already has Ruby (or recently had her), so if anybody knows the answer to this feel free to let me know!

5) How do I avoid getting my friends’ villagers (or having my friends get mine)?

If person A is visiting person B, and you don’t want any villagers to get transferred, you need to make sure that either a) person A already has 10 villagers so there is no room for new villagers to transfer (I have heard that if they have 10 villagers in their town but 1 of them is in boxes, that may still count as an empty space in their town), or b) person B has an empty outbox. See part 3 for how to empty your outbox. Villagers remain in your outbox indefinitely (or at least for a long period of time), as I’ve gotten villagers before from people who hadn’t played the game in months and had villagers moving out during that time. So if in doubt, empty your outbox! Also, it is not possible for person B to get a villager from person A’s outbox.

6) How do I salvage a dream villager that moved out of my town?

OK so pretend that Ruby was your dream villager and she moved out because you hadn’t played in a week. No other villagers have moved out after her, so she is at the top of your outbox. You can save her by having your friend (who has less than 10 villagers) visit you. That’s it! After they visit you, Ruby should move in to their town within a couple of days. Of course you will have to cycle through ~16 villagers (haven’t verified this myself, but that’s what I’ve read) before you can get Ruby back, but for now she’s (hopefully) in safe hands!

Anyway CONGRATS, now you should know how to not totally dick up your town when you visit a friend, and how to transfer villagers without having to convince them to move while they’re in boxes. :p

This guide doesn’t really cover street passing, mostly because I have never street passed anybody since I started playing ACNL, but for the most part I would assume that street passing works similarly to visiting friends.

Turnip Guide Galore

Or: Everything You Could Ever Hope to Know About Turnips

Hello everyone! I've been experimenting with Turnips (and other things) so we will eventually be able to give you a breakdown of which bell-making strategy is the best on a minute-by-minute basis. First up, turnips:

Before we get to the Bell Per Minute (BPM) analysis of my turnip weeks, here are a few tips:

You cannot time travel (TT) backwards AT ALL with turnips. Even TTing just to stay within the same selling period (aka only TTing a few hours back) will mess up your turnips. You can, however, TT forwards as far as you'd like. Just keep in mind that your turnips will rot by the next Sunday so don't TT a full week forward or anything crazy.

Reese changes her prices at noon! So, if you want to track what kind of "trend" you are on, check at every selling period. This, unfortunately, is rarely possible, but do your best! I find it helpful to TT so my game is about 6 hours ahead of real time, because that's when I tend to be up and around. Do whatever works for you, but do not TT backwards!

There are 4 turnip buying trends that Reese will use. This youtube tutorial is easy to follow. I believe there are a few visual tutorials out there, so find the one that works best for you.

Clear out your locker, and be prepared to have your house look like a wreck, if you want to buy the number of turnips I have been buying

Lastly, buy as many turnips as you feel comfortable buying. The more you buy, the bigger your profits turn out at the end.

So I did this two weeks in a row, in order to give you guys an average number of bells made. and here's how I did.

First, after spending about 7 minutes organizing my stuff, I bought 2 million bells' worth of turnips from Joan at 104 bells each. This took me about 35 minutes.

Now, I'm not the best role model for Stalk Market-ing, because I can't check my prices every single turn, but I eventually found a price on Friday that I liked

It was stressful waiting that long, but it worked out. Selling all the turnips took me another 37 minutes, for a total time of 79 minutes, and a profit of 846,000. This comes out to be approximately 10,000 bells per minute.

Round two I forgot to take pictures of, but I spent around 85 minutes doing everything, and my profit that time was about 2,700,000 for a BPM of 37,000 bells per minute.

So, in summary, if you buy enough turnips, you can stand to make a sweet profit fairly quickly. You just have to be willing to play ALL the time, as well as have no room in your closet for anything.

As a quick extra tip: if you have a friend willing to wifi with you, I recommend finding your big spike of the week (use the youtube tutorial to help, or just guess) and then have your friend TT to Sunday morning and let you come over a buy a ton of turnips (you can pay them back by letting them sell a ton of turnips at your place.) Using that method, I made a very easy 2 mil (at least) in just a few hours and ended up with a lot of bells in the bank.
