some mw2 ghost headcanons

dog dad. he used to have dogs as a kid, they all died very traumatically, so he's extra attentive to any dogs he adopts. he likes cats as well, but honestly prefers dogs more.

has (more than once) accidentally trained his dogs into being therapy dogs, they all crowd around him when he's having a bad day in an attempt to get him up and moving. it usually works.

his dogs definitely keep him alive, if he has trouble getting out of bed, he just reminds himself that he has to be alive so his dogs stay alive too.

he's not glaring at you, he just looks like that; that being like everything is one step away from making him go feral (which is probably true).

anyways. some small ideas for a highly self-indulgent werewolf au.

GHOST - cascade mountain wolf (this specific "breed" i guess?? of wolf is extinct btw), bc he will forever be a red head in my mind & they were described as cinnamon-coloured. - second largest of the pack, usually seen as the secondary leader next to price due to his rank - he does not like his werewolf form due to the fact that it reminds him of his father, and the things he'd done to him as a young pup just finding out he could shift.

SOAP - human, knows about ghost being a werewolf, but not price (so far). - has some suspicions about price being a werewolf - definitely thinks that gaz is also a werewolf (only to later find out he's not) - makes a lot of werewolf puns around ghost (& later price when he finds out) - has definitely found ghost out in the woods as a werewolf & just chucks his clothes at him "put ur fucking clothes on, wtf are u doing out here simon" - image of charlie day with the information board "EVERYONE, EXCEPT ME, IS A WEREWOLF"

GAZ - human, unaware that price & ghost are werewolves - more of a "i don't believe in werewolves" kinda guy - that is until he sees one of them shift in front of him, then he's just like "what the absolute FUCK" - most people, even other werewolves, assume that he is one bc he has a lot of werewolf-y traits; this just comes from the fact that he was (unknowingly) raised by a werewolf.

PRICE - labrador wolf (i just think price would be a very fluffy wolf tbh, no other reason for this) - oldest & third biggest member of the pack (was the second biggest before könig stumbled in) - following actual wolf pack structure, he has adopted soap & gaz as his own & treats them as if they were his kids on occasion. he's tried to do the same with ghost, but ghost was not having it. - price finding gaz like "what the fuck is that?? is that a human?? a werewolf?? lemme go check him out"

ALEJANDRO - mexican wolf, but he's unusually big for a species of werewolf that is usually pretty small - while he understands that rudy is human, he honestly sees rudy more as another werewolf due to the wolfishness rudy picked up from him inadvertently. - has 100% tried to court rudy like he would another werewolf, but later remembered that rudy is not another werewolf (totally not embarrassing for him)

RUDOLFO - human, he knows ale is a werewolf, he doesn't really care too much. - they grew up together, so he also has some wolf-y traits he picked up from ale. - he knows ale views him more as a werewolf due to a time when they both sat down for a drink, ale told him just about everything. he tries his best to emulate werewolf traits bc of this, he doesn't want ale to feel like he's alone as a werewolf (even though ale kind of is bc - as far as rudy is aware - there are no other werewolves, besides ale's family, where they are from.)

KÖNIG - eurasian wolf or steppe wolf?? idk what to make him - largest, big fluff guy. fur out the wazoo - very intimidated by his own strength around humans, he does not want to hurt people inadvertently, unless they give him a reason too - hes got one of those dog sweaters that just says "anxious" on it, thanks to soap - doesn't know where he exactly fits in with the 141, price seems to be nice, but ghost is very standoffish with him, gaz reminds him of a wolf but is human?? and soap... well, hes basically off limits for friendship with the way ghost hovers around him.

GRAVES - technically not a werewolf, he is a werecoyote - he just has those kinda vibes. idk what it is. - i dont have any other ideas for this bitch (/aff), hes just coyote - hates that he is a werecoyote & not a werewolf, he has some issues. (definitely gets made fun of behind his back, mostly werewolves referring to him as "werechihuahua" bc of how small he is when in his were form)

capt price headcanons <3

heavy sleeper, could sleep through an earthquake. if you try to wake him up before his body decides to wake up, you will have a very angry price glaring at you. if you ask him about it later, he will not remember a single thing about it.

heavy smoker because of stress. mostly prefers cigars, but he will not pass up a cigarette if you offer one to him. also extends to weed tbh. man would smoke you out like a dragon if he wanted to.

has a dog, an irish red setter named moscow; she stays with his family back home when he's not on leave. she's an older dog that price got back before he joined the military, he used to bring her out to hunt & sit with him while he fished until she got too old for hunting, he still likes to bring her out to fish w/ him though :)

he gives off oldest sibling vibes, he probably has two younger siblings tbh. definitely the type of older brother who bullied his younger siblings in a loving way but was also always the mediator in their arguments.

on that note, he is the cool gay uncle. his siblings' kids love him to death, they always want to be around him or stay at his place.

fisher/hunter autistic, infodumps to people about fishing & hunting any chance he gets. he loves the process of fishing & butchering his own foods.

a survivalist type guy for sure, he loves being outdoors. the uncle who will bring you out for a camping trip then teaches you how to shoot a gun while telling you not to tell your parents because he knows they don't want you shooting guns.

generally very chill, but he knows when he needs to be serious & whatnot.

i imagine that he's probably got a few injuries that give him some hell if he pushes himself too far.

stubborn as fuck when he puts his mind to something, & that's probably the only reason he's still in the military despite his previous injuries affecting him on occasion. "i still got a few years of service in me yet, a minor leg injury ain't gonna stop me" (cue someone going "thats not a minor injury AT ALL" while gesturing to his leg that is healing after he near lost it in an explosion or something)

definitely has one of those "dont talk to me before ive had my morning coffee" mugs that he exclusively uses to drink his morning coffee.

"im not autistic" goes on to explain why you absolutely CANNOT use the orange juice cup for anything other than orange juice, why would you even CONSIDER using that cup for anything other than orange juice, you fucking HEATHEN.

likes to cuddle when he falls asleep, but be prepared for an actual fight for your fucking life once he actually falls asleep, he's a VERY active sleeper. expect to wake up with a few bruises in the morning from him tossing & turning

he & rudy are best friends hands down, they constantly text each other things happening in their lives bc they like to keep up to date on the others life &/or drama

likes both cats & dogs, but strongly prefers birds over both. he would probably have pet pigeons, quails, or chickens. just birds in general

echolalia, he is constantly repeating things he's heard from shows, games, his friends, etc., bc the words & sounds just get stuck in his head & the only way to get them out is to repeat them

has definitely (inadvertently) insulted people by repeating things he's heard rudy & soap say

sometimes tries to emulate ghosts style bc he thinks ghost is cool & doesnt know how to properly engage in friendships with people due to autism + adhd

ghost & him are autism friends while he & soap are adhd friends

left handed with really loopy (+ aesthetically pleasing) handwriting, a lot of people are just ":O" after seeing him write anything bc of how pretty his writing is

adding on to the last bit; the reason his handwriting is so pretty is bc he would constantly practice writing & emulating different fonts bc it used to be super hard to read. he really had that chicken scratch handwriting & then just went "no, i want LOOPS"

got drunk once, flirted with ghost & soap at the same time. woke up the next day embarrassed as fuck, he could not look them in the eye for a week

likes to give cats & dogs a lil smooch on the head after petting them

the type of guy to look at his friends & go "i could probably lift that" the proceeds to pick them up. his victims so far? soap, price, & rudy. he has thought abt picking up ghost, but was too scared to actually go through with it bc he didnt want ghost to get mad at him for it

his favorite flowers are marigolds & morning glories

has a deep seated craving for spicy foods for reasons beyond his understanding, often asks rudy for recipes when he's got a particularly strong craving, he keeps every recipe & sometimes makes them for the rest of the 141

he & soap are cooking buds, they share recipes they got from friends or picked up on tours. they teach people dishes they havent had in exchange for their favourites, they both have an arsenal of recipes to make bc of this

more werewolf au things, mostly mild worldbuilding tho

ways to be a werewolf - genetics, werewolf genes are recessive in nature, unless their werewolf lineage is strong, two weres will have a 3/4 chance of producing werepups & a 1/4 chance of human pups. one were + one human have a 50/50 of producing werepups or human pups. humans with a werewolf lineage (despite not being weres themselves) have a 1/4 chance of producing werepups depending on how diluted their werewolf genes are - bites; a common way of spreading lycanthropy. though it is hard to tell if one bitten by a werewolf would produce another werewolf or if they will just die from the bite. this can be spread through both werewolves and regular canids (more often wolves & wild canids that ur family pet.) by default, turned werewolves have a 1/4 chance of produce werepups, unless they already happen to have werewolf lineage pre-turning.

werewolf pack dynamics - werewolf packs follow the structure of how (wild) wolf packs work rather than the alpha/omega theory. though there are cases of young werewolves forming packs that more closely follow the alpha/omega theory due to the lack of other (older) weres in their community. - there are three types of packs; family packs, misfit packs, & alpha/omega packs. 　- family packs are closest to actual wolf packs, they are lead by the father & mother of the pack while the rest of them are elderly werewolves & the next few generations of werewolves within the family. more often than not, these packs are made up of only family members & do not accept turned werewolves - unless the turned werewolf was turned by a member of said family pack 　- misfit packs are packs that are similar to family packs, but are (more often than not) made up of unrelated werewolves. alpha/omega packs would technically fall under this umbrella, but have a lot more dysfunction than misfit packs; as misfit packs tend to have a defacto "father" & "mother" that lead. these types of packs can be made up of both turned & genetic werewolves. 　- alpha/omega packs are mostly turned werewolves that have no genetic werewolves, or elder werewolves, to teach them the proper way to be a pack. they are often highly dysfunctional packs due to infighting & a misguided idea of how these turned werewolves think werewolf packs work.

werewolf forms - there are three main forms to werewolves; human, halfling, & full. 　- human is self explanatory. 　- halfling is the more along the lines of the modern idea of werewolves, basically anthropomorphic wolves. they can speak in this form, but it can take a lot of thought process & energy. 　- full is the opposite end of the spectrum; a full form is a highly personal form of a werewolf. think twilight werewolves, & thats ur full form. these forms are only showed in the presence of other werewolves with which they have a trusted relationship with, rarely humans but there are exceptions to this "rule". werewolves (by default) cannot speak in these forms, unless it is with another werewolf (the form of the other werewolf does not matter)
