Hi, I just wanted to know your thoughts on what plotlines you think are going to be fleshed out in Elain’s book. What potential powers could she posses along her seer abilities. What are your headcanons for this book. Do you think Elain And Azriel would possible have a secret wedding and then an open mating ceremony at the end. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Oh man this is very tough to narrow down haha. I’ve seen this question and put off answering to collect my thoughts and I’m not closer to being able to concisely answer this question, so I’m sorry if this is scrambled.
I don’t want to be too abstract and esoteric.
I tend to think along the same lines as @wingedblooms in regards to Elain’s relationship with the cauldron (mother, fate). I think Elain will have to go Cretia to retrieve the cauldron (likely with Azriel) and bring it back to Ramiel. We know, from HOFAS, that there are asteri/daglan power caches throughout Prythian. Many of us have extrapolated that this is causing rot, lifelessness-decay. Elain will likely go under Ramiel and we shall see what is under there. A portal? A sleeping daglan? Sleeping Fionn?
I think Elain will heal the land (potentially via the healing of the cauldron). I think we will see Elain and her wraith besties spying- potentially on the AC. The middle, dusk…
However, I think it’s bigger than this. I don’t think we’re going to see resolution of koschei just yet. I think we’re going to need information gathering first. What is Koschei? Is he valg? Are valg and asteri the same being (they both bleed black blood). Do they come from the same planet? Might Elain need to travel via thin place, or mysticism to Erilea to learn about Yrene’s healing light? How to kill a valg king/queen? Is this why we’ll need both Truth Teller and Gwydion? What about Narben?
That’s what I want to see, anon. I think Elain’s story has so much potential to be even bigger.
I naturally love the crack theory that Elain and Az are witch princess and prince, respectively. I love the crack theory that Elain was the pretty woman with raw power from Heir of Fire.
I definitely want a “fuck it” moment for Azriel where he loses control and gives in. I want to see the budding friendship between Rhys and Elain. I don’t think Azriel is full Illyrian. I’m interested to meet his mom. Is she a witch? I hope so Haha. I have a feeling the lady of Rosehall and Elain will get along so well. I can’t wait to get to know Nuala and cerridwen better.
I think Elain will save Azriel and we’ll have another “you came for me” moment.
I would love if Elain went to the human lands and we get to see Azriel flip out and go out of his mind. I would love to see Elain tell Lucien who is meant for him.
I think we’re going to see a bond rejection. I think when Elain heals the cauldron, the bond with Lucien will go with it. Lucien will be free to be with Vassa. Elain free to be with Azriel. I do think Elriel are true mates. I think the cauldron is warped to pair biologically advantageous “mates” at this time.
What I ultimately want to see, more than anything, is the sisters coming together. I want to see some sister moments. Some tough conversations. I want sisterly love and Archeron connection.
And I want Azriel to take her last name bc…Azriel Archeron is amazing. I want a softer and more tender love than we got with Nessian. I want Elain and Az to round out the symmetry and live at the townhouse. I’m not sure if we’ll see a wedding or mating ceremony.
