"Gwyn will be the next FMC because Sarah left clues that her heritage is important and we need to know who her father is"

"Gwyn will be the next FMC because she says she wants to leave the library and discover the world, and then after the BR she went back to the Library, so we're going to see her again as she manages to get out of there"

"Nesta will be the next FMC because in CC3 Bryce gave her Gwydion and Gwydion works with TT, so she's going to give Gwydion to Gwyn and she and Az are going to awaken the Prison, the Valkyries and the pegasuses are already coming"

I think I forgot some of the comments I've seen, but it's incredible how they dismiss Elain, how they turn her into an "accompaniment" with no importance in "the story of..." (anyone but her), it's incredible that with so many open plots that POINT TO ELAIN, any character matters more than her... I really need the fucking confirmation of her as the protagonist and of her development as a character to shut all those idiots up who see her as "white rice" in ACOTAR, I need her book to destroy the antis' fucking vision of the development she's going to have, I want to laugh at everyone who called us idiots for saying it's her book!!! (sorry if your redhead isn't capable of having a plot for more than 1500 pages and you need multiple POVs for them to be "something important" in ACOTAR).

I burst through—out of the darkness projected by his winged form before the sun, shadows coagulating into my physical body as I reach for the skies. He isn’t quick enough. He cannot be quick enough.

There is a splitting sound. A ripping sound. A scream. The sword is in my grip, the hilt smeared with blood from where I tore it from his hands. The pattern on the hilt is burned into his palms, so close to my face as he tries to latch on to me to hang on. But he falls, anyway, one arm already broken into a blend of soft tissues.

Totally serious and accurate ACOTAR 6 prediction

The book will start off with a painful love quadrangle to round out the ending of Elain's and Azriel's connection. Azriel will get caught out by Gwyn and Elain for regifting the necklace in a moment that everyone will suffer second hand embarrassment from. Lucien will be hurt and keep his distance.

Elain is going to bottom out and her crisis of self will boil over. She thinks that by pursuing Azriel she's choosing Herself, but when it actually happens she realizes he's kind of an idiot. hot. but an idiot. Azriel and Gwyn bond because she witnessed his buffoonery and can call him out on it. A first real honest female relationship, Azriel is drawn to her. Slow burn kickstarts.

Elain is grappling with having to give up her humanity, being forced into a bond she didn't choose, confused about whether her feelings for Lucien are real or just manufactured by magic.

She gets visions of Koschei and is either drawn in to help or is inserted into the fray by force.

I think her crisis of self will make her doubt her reality and she will make a really dumb decision that fucks everything up. All the readers will throw the book down and walk away for a break.

The only one that can help her is Lucien.

Forced proximity - maybe they're lost in the woods, or travelling somewhere. Regardless they have to confront each other.

big emotional watershed, they have a mutual understanding at least. Maybe they fuck.

Surprise, Lucien is captured, now it's up to Elain. She has to decide if he's worth fighting for. More importantly, is her own sense of self worth fighting for?

Montage of effort. Girl power moment between her and Vassa, or her and the twins, or her and valkyries. She's starting to get sassy and people will be like "oh wow. You were so dumb, but now that you're outwardly sarcastic I respect you." And she's like "yeah. I'm a powerful female and I'll stab you if you don't listen to my half baked plan." boners, everywhere.

Vassa will be the one to kill Koschei. The story centres around her capture after all, so it'd be weird to pass that moment of triumph onto Lucien and Elain. Their true villain is BERON who captures Elain (dundundun)

Instead, their arc is about surviving the autumn court and dethroning Beron. Eris will have a redemption arc. There will be a lot of gratuitous torture.

Lucien has to confront his parentage, free his mother, and overthrow his father.

Somewhere in there, Tamlin puts down the black eyeliner and helps in a self flagellating way.

Beron dies, Eris ascends, Lucien finds peace. Lots of fire related sex. Elain now has a personality that mirrors her sisters (because SJM can only write one personality for all her FMC)

Azriel and Gwyn had a side quest to avenge her sister and the other priestesses, lots of torture play in their sex life. So much leather. So much repressed trauma being reenacted in a safe environment. So much tender consent. Azriel and Elain nod to each other across the room. Friends.

Nyx shits himself because he inherited IBS from Feyre. Rhys puts them both on a low fibre diet.

as someone who’s been through highly anticipated releases of things I’ve loved a number of times, I just want to remind everyone to enjoy this moment right now.

I know we are all eager to get our hands on the book and frustrated with the lack of information but, honestly, this time, right before the release, is always the most fun. As of right now, all our theories are still possible! No one is truly wrong because no one is truly right!

I know it feels a bit torturous but the moment the book is out some of those possibilities will die. And because we’ve had 5 years to imagine all the things we’d love the book to be, there will almost certainly be some disappointment when it’s actually out. Even for those of us who are lucky enough to see their ship become reality. There will be a characterisation you won’t like, a retcon you don’t appreciate, a plot twist you think is stupid. And that’s just how it is with these things. We’ve written ACOTAR 6 in our imagination for half a decade and now we are getting Sarah’s version of it. They won’t be the same.

So let’s make the most of these few weeks we have left. Theorise wildly! Ship your ship! Fight an anti! It’ll all be over soon.
