Like surely the fact Lucien has been conveniently stationed back down in Spring means something for the plot of the next book? Spring is is very much in danger with the Beron of it all on the verge of happening for starters and it still means Lucien is really close to the human lands so he can still get updates from Jurian and Vassa? But I also hope this means something for him and Elain because Elain’s whole vibe is so Spring! And I don’t believe for one second her powers are purely just seer abilities, there’s gotta be more to them! I do really think Elain is going to have major involvement with the whole Koschei storyline and potentially something else down in Spring (will she help revive Spring since it’s apparently dying? Maybe…) but I don’t know if that’s too much. I just hope Elain will have a big storyline just like Nesta did.
Honestly the foreshadowing of Elain ending up in Spring at some point has been there all along. Now this isn’t to say I believe at this point that she’s gonna end up there permanently, but I do think it’s going to be a part of her story. Honestly, I can see Lucien and Elain always traveling and on the go (which is something he clearly enjoys and something that would delight her).
But I don’t think having Lucien stationed in Spring was for nothing. He’s there for more than half of the book! Something that some fail to remember as they still think he’s with Jurian and Vassa. No, Rhys and Az had him stationed in Spring to mediate the situation with Tamlin and the fact that Feyre was pregnant. There were no further updates on his location after that besides the roughly three visits he made to Velaris during that time (after his stationing in Spring).
People can deny it all they want but Elain has been tied to Koschei the minute she started having visions. There’s still the black box and all the girls that she mentions (apparently Koschei) has and we have no clue what that is yet. Lucien has been obviously tied to Koschei since he went to the lake with her father. He’s friends with and works with Vassa and Jurian who are also tied to that plotline.
No one in this series has closer ties to Koschei besides Beron and Eris at this point and well…that’s easily tied to Lucien as well. Something I think that is also tied to Elain. She’s been tied to Eris three times already which I believe is even more Elucien foreshadowing.
I just really hope that whatever happens that Elain makes her exit from the NC sooner rather than later in ACOTAR 6. I’d love to see her be on her own journey before the cliffhanger that’s probably gonna kill us at the end of ACOTAR 6 and I’m so ready to travel elsewhere with her too.
