Saw an instagram post saying what if while nesta took something from the cauldron, elain gave something to the cauldron! and it's her and grayson's child that the cauldron took from her in order to change her into a fae. That's why she never gave up on Grayson and was so heartbroken after the way he treated her.
Now this just got me thinking maybe that's why she was the first one to detect feyre's pregnancy, because she is well acquainted with the symptoms. ( well it could be because of her visions as well) and also this was the reason sarah showed nyx in her arms towards the end of the book. Also it's added on to the reason why nesta didn't change her womb because the cauldron already destroyed it and that she could never become a mother again and that's why she hates lucien so much. Not just for herself but for the child she lost.
“Elain was nestled beside a too-casual Mor on the sitting room couch when we arrived at the town house”.

or, you know, maybe Elain resents her softness too. Maybe she feels angry and guilty over how her passiveness cost Feyre her childhood. Maybe she realises that her softness came at the cost of Nesta’s. Maybe she is frustrated with how her inability to fight for herself landed her in the cauldron. Maybe she thinks she needs to be tougher. Maybe she lashes out at the person who loves her most because she feels so much shame for having accepted her shielding her for so long. Maybe she thinks she should endure the prick of thorns instead of allowing herself to be protected. Maybe she thinks that she needs to be harder and darker because her softness and light hasn’t helped her one bit.
And so, maybe, Elain will become stronger and more herself. But maybe part of that will be accepting her softness as strength not as weakness. That the protection she was afforded was always out of their love not because of her weakness. Maybe she will learn that her gentleness is not a flaw, that she does not need to fold herself into the mould of damsel or the mould of knight. Maybe she will learn that she can simply exist. Maybe then she will allow herself to accept a gentle love too.
i cant wait for elain to change fate in her book <3
Since I won't be posting for a while.
I've noticed that so many people who ship GA and EL are also shipping Nesta x Eris.
Not once Nesta had a genuine positive reaction for that man.
She had to pretend the whole time that she was comfortable, she was so disgusted by the idea of being with him, that she was willing to accept his proposal out of pure self hatred. Accepting Eris was the ultimate act of pure hate Nesta was willing to do against herself.
All because "she didn't deserve the person she truly loved" because she thought she didn't deserve Cassian. Well, thank God Sarah told everyone that they're true true mates and perfect for eachother.
It makes me think of a certain couple that everyone says "he feels entitled" and "she doesn't deserve him".
I feel it in my bones that something is coming
And it was Elain—Elain—who sighed and murmured, “I hope they all burn in hell.”
