F... forget? People forget to take care of themselves and eat too many sweets? I’m having trouble with that one, but alright. Let’s pretend that it’s not a deliberate choice people make to overindulge. Let’s pretend it’s forgetfulness.
I felt like I needed to include that second image because, between him saying the stuff in the second one and the third, I absolutely, 100%, no joke, started judging him. Just imagining someone sitting down with a bag of marshmallows and just eating them straight really didn’t right with me.
But hey! He’s saying not to judge him, so I guess I have to just leave it alone! Fine, bud! Eat ‘em up!
This is just a really cute story, and I enjoyed it a lot! I like imagining little baby Boris, sneaking into his mother’s kitchen and swiping candies off of a cake! It’s adorable!
Some animals talking to me about the New Year. I’m told that Japan considers the New Year to be a more important holiday than Christmas, which I can certainly believe. A much bigger deal is made about Christmas in this game, because you can turn that into a gift-giving event that requires you to run around handing out presents to every animal you know, but I think it makes sense for people to think of January 1 as a more important holiday. I mean, it’s the start of the year! What’s Christmas? Just a day to eat KFC and strawberry-topped sponge cake! Signifying nothing! January 1 signifies much, much more!
Anyway, Boris is going to quietly live an even better life than last year. I don’t know what he is talking about.
More birthday greetings from various animals. I definitely remember the Cranky animal message, since I joked last year that he was telling me not to do what he told me do, and also to definitely spend the way having and fun and being lazy, which felt contradictory. I don’t remember if the rest are the same, and I don’t really want to check last year’s posts about it.
I could, though. Last year’s posts are definitely still there, just waiting to be checked. I could see if a Jock wanted to play sports with me last year, too, when I was but a young lad of 35.
And this is the whole dialogue! He’s just sick and wants me to keep him warm on the inside and outside!
As an old man trying to recover from an illness myself, I relate to this in a deeply profound way!
