You have to respect the fact that these animals are willing to use the pool on January 1, with snow on the ground and the moon in the sky. It’s gotta be cold as anything, is what I’m saying. And there’s Mitzi, just kicking in the water like it’s no big deal.

I guess I can’t argue with Roald on this one! Even though I’ve said a few times on this blog that I haven’t gone swimming in many, many years, I have to agree that chlorine makes me think of summer and swimming in pools, too. There’s no other context in which I can remember smelling chlorine!

I told Roald to wear this rally shit, and he seemed to like it a lot. I remember being told when I was much younger that vertical stripes were a bad idea if you had a round body, as they tend to make you look wider than you actually are. Roald doesn’t care at all, though, because his wide body is packed with finely honed power, and anything that emphasizes that can only be seen as a good thing.
