Really Good Birds™
Another strange, and not altogether welcome, addition to the game is that villagers suddenly started asking me for a flower as their third request. Both in the afternoon and evening, all four animals at the different sites asked for a flower. Now, look, they were all asking for a flower I could buy seeds for from Lloyd, and I’ve been growing a lot of each of those four since Lottie left, but that means that for every 20 I’m capable of growing in a three-hour period, I’m going to be asked to give 4 away. That cuts my production down to only 80%. And I need over a thousand flowers to get every tradeable item, so this is kind of a hassle!
It might not seem obvious why I’d be growing hundreds and hundreds of red and orange tulips, but it’s because I can just cross-germinate with some other chump’s purple and blue tulips if I see them in a garden somewhere to get a small number of purple and blue tulips of my own. Which sometimes happens! Usually not! But sometimes! Sometimes it does!!! I’m kinda counting on it, in fact!!! I need to keep growing 20 flowers each three-hour period!
Okay, but getting back to THIS post’s screenshots, I don’t wanna give bouquets to Tex. Tex is not worthy of bouquets. Sandy’s alright. Just alright, though.

Between this and his complaints about the cold, I’m starting to think that Tex is not a very good penguin. It’s a shame, because in New Leaf penguins loved the snow in the same way that frogs loved the rain. The little details really made it special, and I’m 100% sure that this is a line Marshal would say, too.
