The first three personality types talking to me about Explorer’s Day: Peppy, Jock, and Smug. I had to mix and match Zell’s dialogue with Leopold’s because of what screenshots I had (or rather, didn’t have) handy, but you get the idea.

I’d love to make a bunch of jokes about all of them, but I’m gonna keep it real with you guys. I just don’t care all that much.

Everything’s still green, though, my dude. Maybe hold off on this speech for a few more weeks?

Ever since Zell found that letter from this lovely sailor, he just hasn’t been the same. He’s gotta have it around!

And before you go thinking that it’s some kind of gay thing, Zell never says the sailor’s a dude! And then, he never says the sailor ISN’T, either! It could be anything!

This is just some random dialogue I got from Zell at the ol’ campsite, but I still wanted to share it because this is the first time I’ve seen it. Maybe it’s new, maybe it isn’t, but either way, it’s another great example of a smug villager trying to be cool and being nerdy instead.

The second set of Father’s Day quotes from the next set of animals. I keep calling them “villagers” out of habit, but they aren’t villagers in this game. They’re animals. Animals with dads. All of them have dads. If you don’t have a dad, try not to feel too left out!

Zell, wearing a crown and MVP shirt, talking about wondering how it would be if he discovered he were secretly royalty. O’Hare looks on in wonder and deep, deep jealousy. He has no crown or MVP shirt. He is not secretly royalty.

How long have you kept this homemade cookie in a pouch, buddy? How long? A few hours? Hopefully not more than a few hours. I’m just gonna say “a few hours.”

You can’t just say this and leave it at that! You have have to actually say that you’re going to be more careful with your things! I absolutely hate it when people say stuff like this, “This is the part where...” and then they try to be clever and hang a lampshade on how cliched they’re being. Just say the thing! Just embrace the cliche! Live it! Love it! It’s fine! Nobody cares!
