Hello, I hope you don’t mind but if your still doing prompts/ask’s but I love your KHR x DC fanfic so to cut to the chase, what would happen if the Bat Family meet the Arcobaleno?

stranger, I am never not open for asks and prompts.

So, long answer short: pandemonium.

Long answer long: it'd be like... an ex meeting a new s/o, I think (from what I know about relationships, ahah) because, for all that I think the Acrobaleno wasn't per say family, they were, for whatever short period, a team. They went through the same trauma together, they were brought together by the same Sky (even if unwillingly, maybe) and yeah. ok, so, there are two ways this could go in my opinion.

Canon!Acrobaleno are transported briefly for whatever reason into the DCU.

The Acrobaleno were reincarnated alongside Fon.

In the case of the first, then they actually wouldn't mind too much??? I think??? They've got their Fon and the DCU have got theirs. Like, yeah, they may not understand how and Verde might have a conniption, but that's it. Wait. And they're also very confused about the whole 'heroes vs. villains' thing because where do you draw the line? What is a hero? What is a villain?

In the case of the second, however...

Orange (we'll go with Luce, because she's... idk, the OG I guess): Her opinion won't really matter much to Fon, because she's the one who hurt him in his past life. As for her opinion, well, she understands. She accepts is and wishes him well. Fon will give her a tight, sad smile and then turn away as the Bats either look between them in curiosity, distrust or anger, depending on if he's told them about Luce.

Yellow: Reborn would act as if he doesn't care. He'll be a bit split, though, in reality. That easy camaraderie and laughter—that's what he wanted from the Acrobaleno, once upon a time even if he'd refuse to admit it. (That's what he wanted with Fon, before the Curse, once upon a time). Even if he comes off as a suave Italian, he's really an idiot. He'd sneer and lash out and the Bats wouldn't really take it well.

Green: Honestly? Verde wouldn't care that much. However, he would be eager to ask questions as to how, why, and when to a lot of things. Some of them sensitive. This will, obviously, rub the Bats the wrong way (ignoring some of their hypocrisy at times). Most of all, I think, he would be confused. The underworld offered so much, gave so much, gave respect and dignity and they wouldn't make you go to school, Fon. So why?

Blue: Colonello and Lal... would be wistful, I think. They were, once, before mafia, military. Sure, not... completely sane military, but military. They'd understand Fon's decision but, if it came down to it, they're not too sure they would make the same decisions as he did. They never were as nice as him, as forgiving as him, as moral as him. (That's what they admire about him, actually. Even after all he faced, he's so very inherently kind). The Bats like them second best and give them the same respect they'd give veterans.

Indigo: Viper... is Viper. Much like Verde, they want to know the how's and why's and when's. Again, this rubs the Bats in the wrong way. They don't like how Viper chases after money. It just feels wrong to them. They especially don't like it when Viper sneers at them and tells them that everything has a price. They almost chase Viper out for that.

Violet: Skull. God, Dick loves Skull, no joke. I've already done one for Skull in the past. The rest of the Bats are a bit more wary, but Skull is undoubtedly the favourite. Skull, meanwhile, is delighted to be the favourite for once and jumps into the mess with fervour.

I feel like this fandom really neglects the arcobaleno characters. And by that I don’t mean characters like Fon, Skull, and Reborn I mean characters like Mammon, Verde, and Luce. Where’s my arcobaleno content that features more of them?

MHA × KHR: Tsuna is gifted at the age of four with a quirk, that quirk being 'Flames of the Sky' which enables him to use all seven varieties of the sky branch of Flames but his quirk comes at the cost of having all Right of the Arcobaleno inhabiting his head as his tutors/teachers of learning how to harness flames and being his eternal peanut gallery

Fon would help him use his power to maximize output while Luce shows him how to balance such a Quirk. These two are the most parental figures, giving him good life lessons. Skull is similar in this aspect, however, due to his personality, he’s considered more so a friend or a cool uncle, showing him that a little danger can be thrilling (by self-healing afterwards). Skull gets in trouble by others because he encourages Tsuna’s most impulsive decisions. But he also teaches him to face danger head-on.

Reborn his is main combat instructor, though he mostly focuses honing Tsuna’s reflexes and skill. He’s harsh on Tsuna but makes sure he isn’t breaking down from his high expectations. Colonello makes Tsuna run and train his stamina and flames at the same time, making sure his mental state is just as strong as his physical one. Between the two, Tsuna doesn’t know who he fears more training with. Suffice it to say, no villain will ever crack this kids when he grows up.

Verde and Mammon weren’t quite as willing to teach Tsuna but after the former found about the experimental possibilities and the latter his hyper intuition, they jumped on board pretty quick. Verde tests his endurance and academics by making him maintain his flames while conducting “fun and educational” lessons. Mammon tries to use Tsuna to take advantage of his near-prophetic abilities to win money (to this day Tsuna has no idea why they’re so interested in something earthly as money). They teach him about politics, economy, and how the human mind works in a society to achieve the best outcome. Although Luce often acts as the two Acrobaleno’s inhibitors, they taught him how to be more pragmatic, aware of the business side of the hero industry as well as its shady dealings.

First meeting?

Tsuna’s eyes widened, the multi-colour fire dancing around him. Once a rainbow, each colour split off, gathering until it erupted. Revealing... babies?

The one, in what Tsuna thought looked like a big mushroom hat, stepped forward, a kind smile on her face. Just her presence felt like his heart was being caressed in a gentle embrace - the promise of safety and comfort.

“Do not be afraid, we are here to guide you,“ Luce said, her voice full of motherly love.

“We aren’t angels, Luce,“ Verde said, pushing up his glasses.

Skull nodded from beside him. “Yeah, Reborn and Colonello are more like devils-!“

Even before he managed to finish that sentence two guns were up against his head.

“You really don’t know when to shut your mouth do you?“ Colonello said flatly.

Tsuna stared at the seven figures arguing amongst each other, mouth agape, still unsure how to take in the fact that literal toddlers just manifested from his flames.

Mammon floated up to him with a sigh. “Kids these days, no manners at all.”

“But you’re younger than me!” Tsuna cried out with indignation, after managing to find his voice.

Fon shook his head. “Our forms reflect your current state of power.”

“You better grow quickly so I don’t have to be stuck in this shitty body.” Reborn smirked, promising chaos and suffering.

Honestly, this would work just as well in an “Acrobaleno as Tsuna’s Guides” AU too

Spent an inordinate amount of time thinking about my subplot where Mukuro around 20-23 starts “glitching”. He’s an experiment after all and he killed the family that did that to him but whose to say he was ever done ? He killed them before they ever concluded all of that officially. I wonder if there’s more to him.

I thought due to His trauma he would be opposed to the idea of anyone experimenting on him but when it comes to Verde , he didn’t seem opposed to the idea.

I think it’s because these experiments aren’t being done on him but on weapons he can use so he’s okay with this form of science. So now I’m going to think about Verde taking on the challenge of finishing mukuros experimentation in order to save his body from destroying itself. I Also imagine Tsuna oversees the entire thing for chromes sake and because he’s also grateful for Mukuro but Mukuro for the first time Loses his cool once he has to face being experimented on once again. Just another ...moment where we look at him in a new light again.

Colonnello: I better not see a single tear, you hear me?

Fon: If I see him sad, there will be consequences.

Viper: The Varia are willing to help me if you are found responsible of any kind of mental or physical harm brought to him.

Verde: I've been looking for a test subject. Don't tempt me.

Skull: I don't want to see any kind of negative emotion on him because of you.

Reborn: Alright geez, I get it. It's not like we've known each other for more than ten years, and all of you met Tsuna last week.
