He’ll be the one to cut the string, but by trying to force him, Tsuna will have been the one to personally hand him the scissors.

So long story short, in this AU, Ilpyo will never willingly join any side. He’s a neutral party that’ll occasionally give his friends a lending hand. If someone tries to force him, then they’ve just pissed off a fox-god-human-beast and things will NOT be great for them (if you didn’t read the second extra, basically Ilpyo unlocks his past life’s abilities).

The short answer is: no.

The fun answer is: they wouldn't even know it existed.

The actual explanation is:

When he came to Namimori, the first thing he realized was that it was strange.

It's very much purposefully left vague in the actual story, but in this AU, Namimori is very much an "in-between town." It's where all the ghosts and stories come alive.

Iemitsu isn't the first person to enter Namimori and get incredibly weirded out, and he won't be the last. And he certainly won't be the first person to try and tell other people to try and suss out the idyllic little town, except he'll be one of many to realise he can't quite recall what happened there, how strange is that? And then he'll try to explain that, no, something did happen, the town is full of monsters, except the words choke and die in his throat and never make it past his lips as he promptly forgets everything except that Namimori is a beautiful place, wow it sure is an amazing place to settle down with family!

Namimori is an in-between town and Ilpyo is an in-between person. He's got the shell of a human but the soul of a god-beast and the foxes have very much missed their king.

Because it was trained on pirated work—including freely accessible online writing (like fanfic, academic texts)—ChatGPT picked up patterns and quirks native to human writing.

Including (sigh) the em dash.

There are other victims here (RIP tapestry and delve 🫠), but the appropriation of the em dash—a punctuation mark beloved by writers everywhere—feels especially personal.

A kind of low-grade panic is ensuing. Writers who once memed their own em dash overuse—the greatest punctuation mark ever to grace the control-freak’s lexicon, frankly—are suddenly backing away to avoid accusations.

No. More. We have centuries of dash-abusing writers behind us. We will not sit quietly while AI repurposes our beloved stilted aside—or the just-one-more clarification the sentence demands—or the dramatic pause your comma could never—etc.

You don’t write like AI—AI writes like you.

Defend the em dash.

Anakin is literally in the pocket of the Chancellor and continuously insists that they have to abide by the law while multiple other Jedi, particularly Council members, generally try to avoid that whenever possible in order to better help people on the mission.

"The Jedi aren't involved in politics enough to truly be able to help people!"

Despite living in the Chancellor's pocket, Anakin literally has no idea how the political system works as evidenced by his criticism of it in AOTC and TCW "Heroes on Both Sides." By contrast, we see that Ahsoka has clearly gotten an education in politics and has been taught that it's important to be involved in politics in order to try to keep corruption from happening, an education good enough that she's literally capable of teaching other kids her own age about it. It's also the Jedi who we see actively recognizing that Palpatine is corrupt and choosing the do something about it, unlike Anakin who just keeps making excuses for Palpatine.

"The Jedi didn't fight enough for the clones!"

The Jedi are the ONLY ones we EVER see fighting for the clones in ANY WAY. We see Jedi criticize EACH OTHER for negative treatment of the clones, we see Jedi fight back against the Kaminoans to save the clones, and we see Jedi literally dying to protect the clones. Yoda himself makes the argument to trust the clones after they discover that the clones are probably a Sith trap for the Jedi. There is NO ONE ELSE who ever fights for the clones at all, but the Jedi are seen to do so MULTIPLE TIMES. And I will note that aside from fighting on the battlefield with them, none of these examples include Anakin, who is frequently seen to EXPLOIT his own men, particularly Rex, for his own selfish agendas.

"The Jedi steal babies!"

This has been debunked over and over again by people with more resources than me, but guess who actually DOES steal children? If you guessed Anakin, YOU'D BE RIGHT! And according to the multiple people who gave me examples last time I asked (thank you to all of you who did so), he specifically steals a baby FROM A FORMER JEDI. He also literally helps torture captured Jedi children into becoming Jedi hunters and keeps the body of a Jedi child as a trophy.

This comes from the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series a few years ago. There's a scene where Obi-Wan is breaking into Fortress Inquisitorius, an Imperial fortress on a planet in the Mustafar system whose primary purpose is to be a headquarters for the Inquisitors (if you don't know who the Inquisitors are, they are a group of Dark side Force users working for the Empire that seem to be predominantly if not entirely made up of captured Jedi who were tortured and broken into working for the Empire after Order 66), and as he walks through it, he discovers an entire hallway of dead bodies kept frozen somehow. Among them is a Jedi youngling.

There's at least one other known Jedi character amongst these bodies, so we can assume that they are probably ALL captured and murdered Jedi, left as examples of what the Empire does to Jedi "traitors" for the Inquisitors to be reminded of all the time. It likely also amounts to a kind of psychological torture for the Inquisitors since we know from Rebels that it's possible for a dead Jedi's remains to still give off some kind of Force signature that living Jedi can feel.

Obviously Anakin is the one who personally murdered the Jedi younglings and is the one personally in charge of the Inquisitor program (he doesn't seem to have STARTED the program, but he is placed in charge of it early on and remains in charge of it until they all die off or manage to escape), so I have no problems claiming that these are trophies Anakin has chosen to keep even though TECHNICALLY we don't explicitly know that Anakin asked for them to be placed on Fortress Inquisitorius in this way. Anakin allowed Palpatine to live and the Empire to rise, so everything Palpatine and the Empire do from Order 66 on is Anakin's fault, anyway, so the technicalities don't really matter.
