Celebrating National Poetry Month
I’m so looking forward to my next Beginner/Intermediate Acting Class! Last month’s class was so much fun. This time around, we will be celebrating National Poetry Month! Do you have a poem you’d like to perform? If so, I hope you’ll join us!
Almost all our actions are communications, or at least have a communicative function. What links all communications together is this: they are all, consciously or unconsciously, purposeful. Most of our actions are consciously or unconsciously intended to influence, in some way we consider favourable (though it might not be), the attitudes of others.
To say this is not to say that all people are, at all times, exploitative, manipulative, or particularly aggressive. It is only to say that we, as a species, behave at least in large measures in ways that we think will be helpful to ourselves; we have underlying purposes and intentions which are directed toward increasing our own well-being.
