My installation for final critique. It includes all 3 of the comics I created this semester and a table of contents to show the order in which they would appear in my finished product.
Final Crit Comic
wk 11/16/2021
Prototyped a short comic using images/cartoon characters or picrews of characters we like or feel closest to. The comic is during our PA trip, our GPS told us to leave the road and we found it hilarious because we were on the middle of a highway and a few turns and kept circling around until we found where we were supposed to go. I updated parts of my essay and kept trying to write and figure out what I want to say through both my essay and work. I think I have gotten it down to presenting that everyone is human and that there shouldn’t be shame or fear about who we are regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
Did some art that might be the dragon not sure yet but I like where it’s going. My friend and I were talking about capstone and she did a drawing of the dragon during it and I really liked her color pallet so I tried something similar.
My prototype 2 for Capstone. It’s a nightmare sequence area with imagery that tries to connect to consumption and destruction. I’m not exactly happy with the sounds yet but it’ll have to do for now and I’ll come back to it later.
Aspect Prototype 2
For this week's prototype, I drew another scene of my comic taking a lot of the advice from my midterm critique into account. I redesigned both the main character and the character that represents the main character's anxiety. I tried making the anxiety character more flat and abstract than the main character and making her a shadow ot the main character. I also made the whole look of the comic less clean by using textured brushes.
