Thirsty?!

Activities Night!!!!! What a stupendous night where all of the groups that fill our campus get to get together and show the students what their all about giving them the opportunities to ask questions and join any group they’re interested in. I went with the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship to wait at the table we had. Our theme for the night we chose was “Thirsty?” Red cups were placed and taped down across the table with words on them reciting; power, strength, money, love, grades, intimacy, alcohol, drugs. In the middle was a massive cup as shown below saying “Something Else.” Anyone who walked by got to play Starburst Pong by throwing one at a time a handful of Starburst into the cups that they wanted to have a change of aspect in their life. What did this tell me? People are thirsty! They are thirsty for a lot of things on this campus that should not hold them back. What can eternally quench their thirst is Jesus Christ Himself. In Christ Alone their hope can be found and their thirst can be gone! I pray tonight that all of the students that participated tonight as well as the hundreds of others can just find peace and relief in their areas of thirst that hold them back from their full potential. I pray that though tempted every day in a party college life style, that they can and will find ease.
1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
