one twenty one.

The Loot Llama was Giovanni’s baby. It was his pride, his joy. Though the man mainly stayed within his office, he was never not working. He was always planning events, keeping track of which machines needed maintenance, which system needed replacing, what food and drink items needed to be restocked. The workload keeps him incredibly busy, and yet, even when he isn’t focused solely on the café, he’s still working via his gaming streams, editing youtube videos and clips to post on his social media. Long story short, he’s always doing something, but it’s not like he even feels the burden more than half the time. He loves to do what he’s doing. He’s quite literally living his childhood dream, and that wasn’t a feat most people were able to say, but he worked his damned hardest to get where he is now. Not without a few loopholes along the way, of course, but he’d never let anyone tell him he was lazy.

His stream is regularly maintained. Every single day at 3pm, he streams for at least 2 hours, before coming back at 9pm for ‘after dark’ playtime where he’s free to say and do what he pleases since his younger audiences are most likely in bed by then. Usually once a week/every two weeks, he hosts a 12-24 hour long streaming marathon, which is honestly just him playing Fortnite and doing challenges that his chat suggests. Though it seems like he isn’t doing much besides sitting and fucking around on a kids game, the occupation is incredibly lucrative. When he isn’t getting checks from Twitch, he’s getting them from Youtube, and when he isn’t getting them from Youtube, he’s definitely getting them from whatever business is sponsoring him. His current sponsor is Mountain Dew, and their energy drink line, and they just pay him to keep a photo of the drinks on his screen while streaming and always have a can nearby him to sip on while he’s playing.

one hundred & nineteen

Gio’d never really been one for religious holidays. Neither of his parents were bible thumpers or anything of the sort, and really Christmas had always just been about picking out the most costly video game console in store. And truthfully, the male never really complained nor did he feel like he was missing anything.

Italy had been strange. Nearly off-putting. He came mostly from Italian roots, though he never delved deep into any kind of culture besides white trashiness. Pasta came from boxes and sauce came from glass jars. Lasagna was Stouffer’s brand. So, considering this, it’s not surprise he had no actual interest in Roman culture. He stayed away from the site seeing scene. Though on Easter Sunday, it didn’t really matter considering the entire country was closed except for churches. The idea of going to mass when the last time he’d been inside a church was to get Christened had never crossed his mind. Though, his Xbox had been stolen and he didn’t keep any games on his laptop. So what else was there to do besides sit in his room and stare at the same 5 Italian channels over and over?

If there was anything he felt climbing up the stone steps into the cathedral, it was that he was underdressed as hell. The front sign had said the chapel was English-speaking, but they didn’t mention that the priest was still on the first level on Duolingo. The pews were stuffy. So incredibly cramped, that as soon as the temperature began to rise, he was already sweating. The man who’d sat next to him sang loudly and smelled like rancidity, the scent mixing poorly with the grandmother type perfume permeating his nose from the women around him. As soon as prayer had begun, Gio wasted no time and standing up and getting the fuck out of there before his breakfast would inevitably have a second coming as well.

Already set with a lit cigarette between his lips as he walked out the door, down the steps he went again. Now the Italian version of Spongebob and his cold leftover chicken Alfredo didn’t sound bad at all.
