#MyLibrary #RobertHarris #actofoblivion A veritable master storyteller. Even better now that the shadow of Tony Blair (and some sort of mea culpa from the author) is gone. (His Cicero was so Blair, for example.) Amazing period atmosphere and background setting. Great characters. Unique use of feedback to tell the stories from the Civil War, death of Charles I and Cromwellian England. Looking up in the map to see the regicides’ track through New England, it is incredible to imagine how difficult the journey was in the 17th century colonial America between the “archipelago of settlements”.
