Collaboration over clients.
I had a great conversation with an herbalist friend this morning as she was planning on transitioning her services from clients to courses.
It made me think about the importance of placing more energy on projects and collaborations with other artists, rather than providing a service to people who might not recognize the efforts being put in.
We've all heard of nightmare clients. As a creative business owner, but most importantly, as an artist, all I want to do is create. I want to release music, I want to act in films, and I want to act in theatre. I know that all of this is possible with the people around me.
So why not place my energy and time in collaborating instead of providing a service? Instead of placing time in individual people, we should place time on the projects we can create together.
