Dear Church and Friends, What happens when a certain man and the gospel meet? The power of the gospel is revealed in that encounter. But wait, it’s just not an event that happened in Lystra long ago. Today men are are having encounters with the risen Christ wherever the gospel is preached. I hope you enjoy the recording. All my best, Join the Bible Bistro Mailing List Get notified of menu…

Acts 14
Looking without seeing is nothing heavenly but earthly things. Seeing through the Holy Spirit is discerning the truth. Let’s God be your guide. Let’s God come and teach you what the truth is. For the crippled man in Lystra, he held his faith towards living God not the apostles Paul or Barnabas. He came to the gate, so called faith, to heaven. In contrast, other Lycaonians had their thought prevailed such that Paul and Barnabas were their God, Hermes and Zeus respectively. God’s offsprings surely knows their Father not other Gods. However, the inheritance of other Gods roots deeply in one’s heart from generations to generations. So be it, everything is in Him. Respect His timing and calling.

And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God."
Acts 14:21-22
They Continued.
and there they continued to preach the gospel. Acts 14:7 Paul and Barnabas were sharing the Gospel together in city synagogues and something began to happen. The Jewish leaders were persuading the people to not listen to Paul and Barnabas and even attempt to stone them. God continued to show signs and wonders through the evangelists even amidst trial. I don't know where you find yourself in life, or the people around you. But I urge you to keep living the life that God has called us to. We are to go here, there and everywhere with the Gospel. It takes a lot more than just living right... it takes WORDS. The Gospel was meant to be shared, verbally. God from Genesis throughout the Old Testament sent voices to tell of a coming Savior. And He did! Jesus came to a broken world to redeem a people back to Himself. Where are you? Who is around you? What will you do? Will you continue to share the Gospel?
