okay so i know my last lore post was shot dead before like a week passed but this time im PRETTY SURE its not a bug
Okay so the other day [read: last month; this post apparently never actually was uploaded somehow] I was watching a buddy of mine play ULTRAKILL right, and she got to 5-1, and at the end, I noticed some text that wasn't there before.
"ATTENTION. THE LUST LAYER IS A PEACEFUL CITY. THIS PLANT SIPHONS INFRASTRUCTURE-VITAL WATER TO US. IF YOU HAVE ESCAPED THE OCEAN STYX, USE THESE PIPES TO SEND US A MESSAGE. WE WILL RESCUE YOU"
Thing is, like the day of the Ultrarevamp update, I played through the entire game again SOLEY to notice these types of changes. And well, this certainly contextualizes A) how the lust layer had water and B) the point of this random-ass facility with bisexual lighting.
Since I'm pretty sure the great war was the cause of the river styx becoming an ocean, this also likely confirms that the Lust renaissance happened during the great war- which has it's own lore implications.
Thing is, though, I've NEVER seen this brought up. which like- is confusing? Because you think at least one of the many ultrakill lore videos would've brought up the possibility of wrath souls being in lust. Or barring that, at least one of the many ultrarevamp videos would've brought up this new bit of lore
Maybe they have, and I just haven't seen it yet. I said it before with my deltarune post but i don't really use reddit, so who knows this might be common knowledge. Weird how I didn't know it until like last week though.
