same here. idk if ours notps are the same but if they are then i know exactly what you mean, i feel like they write “canon” ships so poorly, and it felt so forced and inexplicable for one in particular, and another i felt was just handled so poorly:(

Thank you for wording it so perfectly D: you're absolutely right I liked how in the german translation of the game (I can't seem to change the text to english but it's not so bad since the voice acting is there and all) after one scene with jude/milla hints followed by a alvin/leia thing, there was a skit showing up titled "a bit forced" and even tho it was completely unrelated I had to laugh so much at the accuracy like. thank you game. thank you for the hidden message but I figured that one out by myself

man i loved drakengard 1 to death it was so. it was great! and now... 2... has been ordered and from this post i'm worried that it's even worse

the writer who was responsible for making the first one interesting is gone so nothing CRRRAAZZYY happens at all so it's kinda jarring to go from uh that to this

when they do actually decide "hey let's connect something from the old game since this is a sequel haha" it's cool! doesn't last very long tho!!

i hate to say this since you already bought it but yeah i didn't like much of anything besides stuff that connected to the previous game and a very small seemingly important but actually not character
