Drawing #2 for Inktober!! I really like how it turned out, so I decided to post it here (the others are on twitter haha). I actually want to colour it for Real but I'm scared of killing it, so I'm just posting as-is hahaha! I can't believe I'm actuslly doing inktober for once what the Heckie

ok so like. this week's episode. sorey can SENSE that mikleo is nearby. he can SENSE HIM

which makes sorey freaking out over mikleo missing a couple episodes ago SO. MUCH. WORSE.

because if you think about it, they've been together since they were literally babies. seraphim & their mechanics are never really explained well in the game, but we know that even humans with low resonance can get the sense they're being watched and, if they're around seraphim long enough, can have their resonance raised - seraphim have a supernatural essence and can affect humans in a lot of ways that aren't really explained. so it's totally plausible that because mikleo and sorey were always together, sorey gained a deeper sense of mikleo's presence, but because they were always together, he never noticed it was there.

not until it was gone.

remember how frazzled sorey was, how he knocked over those cups of water and everything? i mean i chalked it up to just such intense worry that he was Losing It (and That was already Not Okay) but now i'm thinking that there was even MORE to that. that when he woke up something just felt wrong and when he realized mikleo wasn't there, it felt like an entire chunk of himself was missing. because he'd never really been that far from mikleo before.

but also, he probably never noticed that sensing mikleo's presence was even the problem until he was already on the road. he felt empty because mikleo was there like remember when he was thinking to himself that he was never lonely because he had mikleo??? LIKE I'M SORRY DUDES I'M HAVING A FEEL because now mikleo was GONE and it felt like something from him was just completely missing.

but then sorey can sense mikleo nearby. he can sense him and he is so sure and confident that mikleo is nearby that he says, out loud, that he can sense him. because now he knows that he CAN sense mikleo's presence and there is no doubt in his heart that that feeling, whatever it may feel like, is mikleo simply being nearby, because that's the feeling of wholeness sorey spent his whole life feeling.

it's not just that mikleo is a seraphim sorey has spent a lot of time around (because dezel had spent a lot of time around rose, too, though sadly we have yet to even see dezel really rip)  but because in addition to that sorey and mikleo have such a close friendship, they're so in tune with each other, that mikleo's presence was literally imprinted onto sorey so deeply that he was able to sense mikleo nearby. which means he could sense that mikleo was gone which makes him freaking out sO MUCH WORSE AND JUST
