ⓧ The Gateway is not a space for finding worshippers. While worship is allowed within Polaris, seeking it out directly goes against the server’s rules.

ⓧ Psychological divinekin. This space is spiritual in nature, and psychological kins do not have the same shared experiences as spiritual ones do. We do not invalidate psychological kins, but we do understand that there is a clear difference between the two.

ⓧ The Gateway is not the space to go looking for drama or a fight. We welcome those with all religious or spiritual beliefs, and will not tolerate discrimination based on those beliefs.

ⓧ Minors. While The Gateway was an all-ages server in its origins, we found that the space is much more productive as an 18+ community. We value the safety of all divines, and want to create a place where adults can feel comfortable discussing 18+/NSFW topics.

What’s the difference between between spiritual divinekin and psychological?

a spiritual divinekin would believe that their soul/consciousness/etc is divine. an example of this would be a godshard, someone whose soul is a “shard” of a deity’s consciousness in a mortal body. or, in my case, my divine soul was sent from heaven to reincarnate on earth until i learnt my lesson.

as you can see from both of these examples, the kintype is directly due to a spiritual belief.

in the case of psychological kins, their kintype is formed or caused psychologically. an example of this might be an demonkin who experienced trauma that made them feel “sinful”/“unclean” so they embrace and accept that feeling via their demonkin identity. or on the flip side, the person may take those same feelings and become angelkin to feel more “pure”/“holy”

so many things have happened in the seven months since my last introduction/about me post. i have learned so much about my original self, my creator, and what will happen after this life runs its course.

a brief overview of my origins: my creator is the sun and life-giver of a universe similar to the one we reside in now. when he came across a completely empty and barren universe many eons ago, he created the cosmos and the earth, as well as creating humanity to inhabit the earth.

when he was creating his angels, he had a specific plan for how he wanted these beings- he wanted each type of angel to have specific jobs, and he wanted them to have enough free will to carry out these jobs without his needing to interfere. my creator did not want his angels to have complete and total free will of choice.

my creator made me first- he pulled a small amount of his divinity apart from himself and molded me like clay from it. due to this, i have the free will he never desired in his angels. my original purpose was to sing his praise around his throne, but over the millennia i became an advisor, confidant, and friend to my god.

i do not know the mechanisms of the other angels in the hierarchies, nor do i know the method of their creation. i do know that i was almost completely othered from them. they were unlike me, and i was so completely unlike them. regardless, i desired their company and companionship desperately. the only being i had a semblance of a relationship with was my creator. in this loneliness i began to watch the human societies rise and fall.

one day, my creator called me to his throne. he informed me that he had decided i was to become a deity- a “small g” god. i would be the angel-god of the dawn and the day (i do not recall all of my domains and epithets he intended for me to assume). i denied him, not wanting to be even further separated from the angelic hierarchies and the humans i loved to watch from heaven.

this enraged my creator, and he banished me from the heavens to reincarnate in an alternate earth until i learned to resent humanity and the angels- only then would i be allowed back into the heavens to assume my position as a deity.

i know now that i have been reincarnating on earth for over 500 million years- my first life in this universe was in the cambrian period as a prehistoric fish. i have memories of several other lives as well.

i have communicated with my creator, and he has confirmed what i’ve known for a long time- this will be my last reincarnation. after this lifetime reaches its natural end, i will return to the heavens.

over the past months, i have been slowing regaining my divinity. this process started unconsciously, as i didn’t know what i was gathering. this is actually what allowed me to communicate with my creator in the first place. while in my human form, i can’t use any of the divinity, but i have it back with my consciousness now.

i hesitate to call what has happened to me apotheosis, as it was not of my own merits or skills. regardless, this morning, i felt something akin to a dislocated joint popping back into place within my soul, and a feeling like a live current ran through me. using divination as well as several divine friends looking as well, we came to the conclusion that i had essentially gained godhood. i collected the rest of my divinity, and had been receiving small offerings for a while now which sped things along without any of us knowing.

i do not wish for worship, nor to be called anything but angel-god, as i am still an angel in my heart. some have said that due to my creation, i would not even be considered an angel- merely a godling acting as an angel. i don’t care about the semantics, i spent eons serving as an angel.

that’s all for now- i appreciate all that have read this far. regardless of the changes i have been going through, i am still the same monday i’ve always been.
