so for those who don't know, my angel kintype has four eyes. it's got a smaller pair below the "normal" pair

but obviously whenever I get phantoms I can't actually See out of the extra pair, so it just feels like?? they're closed???

Our Otherkinity is linked to our plurality, but is also very, very different from it. (For reference, we consider ourself Otherkin because of a past life.)

Our alter Tim (or Time) is an introject of a Deity we served under in our past life. Tim prefers to be called an Angel over a Deity, though.

Our alter Nightsong (or Narksong) is an introject of another Deity in our past life. She jokingly calls herself a Demon, because Tim calls himself an Angel.

Gigi is the alter who most closely relates to all of our past life, though mainly calls himself a fallen angel despite also being a deity. But our Otherkinity is connected to our physical body as a whole, not specific alters.

We explain it like - we had a past life, where we lived on another planet (alienkin), as another race we describe as elven (elfkin). We were taken by Time to serve under him as an angel (angelkin). Then we were taken by Narksong to serve under her, essentially making us fall (fallen angelkin). Eventually, we broke free to become a Deity ourself (deitykin). Long story short, a bunch of war crimes later, we were exiled and killed.

As a punishment (for the war crimes ofc) we ended up here, reincarnation, past life, and so on. We were reincarnated in the physical body, which then experienced childhood trauma that caused the structural dissociation, which led to the DID.

So while some specific alters feel closer to our Otherkinity than others, the Otherkin identity 'belongs' to the physical body itself. Every alter is deitykin, but not all of them are connected in the same way.

ⓧ The Gateway is not a space for finding worshippers. While worship is allowed within Polaris, seeking it out directly goes against the server’s rules.

ⓧ Psychological divinekin. This space is spiritual in nature, and psychological kins do not have the same shared experiences as spiritual ones do. We do not invalidate psychological kins, but we do understand that there is a clear difference between the two.

ⓧ The Gateway is not the space to go looking for drama or a fight. We welcome those with all religious or spiritual beliefs, and will not tolerate discrimination based on those beliefs.

ⓧ Minors. While The Gateway was an all-ages server in its origins, we found that the space is much more productive as an 18+ community. We value the safety of all divines, and want to create a place where adults can feel comfortable discussing 18+/NSFW topics.
