@actuallygrimes​ I really do know this might be super annoying to you, especially you being a well known person and me being a total stranger, but I just hope you can (at least) read this.

One of my most beloved ones has recently passed away. He was an actually important part of my life, and a nice way to keep it going with a smile on my face. He was the kind of person who is always making everyone laugh by making jokes or maybe just being a weirdo himself, but hey, he was always there for me. He helped me out coping with my mental sicknesses and neurosis.

And the thing is, he showed me your music - he really did love it. And I’m glad I met your amazing art through him.

But, you know? Your song. Go. I used to listen to it like a lot, on a daily basis. The lyrics to it, they used to break my heart in a way I cannot understand yet. I didn’t really know what was coming, I couldn’t have imagined it. But now, the song makes me feel both worse and better than it used to.

Worse, because it makes more sense than it did before. More than never. Things, they feel like memories when I dream of you [...] ‘Cause I’ve been here, living up, giving up, when I go can I go with you?

But better than it used to, because now whenever I listen to it; when I listen to your music, a small part of him will be brought back alive. To me. In me.

So I have to thank you. Thanks for making it special, thanks for sharing your art. Thanks for bringing him back, even if it is during ephemereal spans of time.
