Testimony
This may be relevant to Evelyn's friend, Tessa, although I don't follow her and I don't believe she follows me.
I'm home from Church early because of a few unimportant reasons, but one large one was because I didn't think I should wait very long before posting this. The first talk of Sacrament meeting talked of a missionary who went up to an Apostle (I think it was Robert D. Hales) and asked, "How do I bare a testimony of God the Father when I'm not sure if I have a testimony of Him? I don't want to share a false witness."
Elder Hales replied, "If there is one principle I wish to impose upon you, it is that a testimony is made in the bearing of it. Bare your testimony and the truth will be testified to you by the power of the Holy Ghost."
I was too busy writing down that much and lost the rest of the talk, but he made an allegory of stepping into the darkness to find a lantern (I think). It took that step of action before he found the lantern, and it took faith to light it. The rest of the sermon/talk/thing was on the power of personal revelation, which I'll cover later.
