You gotta remember that Myst isn’t really a game, it’s a place, and the more you think like you would if you were really there, the more you’ll find there is to it.

That’s a really crappy explanation, though, so here’s some useful hints and a (mostly) spoiler-free walkthrough (it’ll ruin the experience entirely if you just Google a normal walkthrough, and keep in mind that the more you explore, and the more journals you find and read, the less you’ll need help).

And keep a Myst journal yourself! That’s the biggest tip, really.
