Headcanon A: realistic
Bipolar and ADHD!Gob is really just canon at this point. Like...I really can’t even explain any better than to just say like...look at him. He’s a manic-depressive mess who can’t process emotions well or pay attention to anything!!!!!!!
Also I think it’s perfectly realistic to say he studied and played piano growing up and was very good, but he just loved magic more. Yes, I have ten seconds of him playing “Cold as Ice” as my evidence, and I own that.
Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious
A popular one in the discord chat I’m in is that, because he was born at the beach cottage and they probably lied about his birth date so the rushed marriage wouldn’t be suspicious, he actually never got a birth certificate and uh legally does not exist.
Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends
Gosh, I haven’t done nearly as much heart crushing as my friends have lmfao. Really any examination of his life outside of “this is a comedy” is just like really tragic and heart-crushing already?? haha but uh there’s just something extra sad about how he definitely got told off for being too emotional and “flowy”, to quote John Mulaney, as a kid like there’s no doubt in my mind he became so aggressively heterosexual to try to please his dad aND IT STILL DIDN’T PLEASE HIM
Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.
I started it just for a thing I wanted to happen in my fic, but now I truly believe that Gob and Lucille watched Dynasty together and it was their thing because Gob was old enough to stay up and watch it before any of his siblings were and of course Lucille would love it, and he just accidentally watched it since his mom would have it on.
And I hate that it’s unrealistic for Gob and Lucille to have something super cute like that a;skfdj

I mean I guess I don’t care too much for Oscar for similar reasons for why I don’t like George (but I also hate George for other things lol)...gosh I mean I’m not the biggest fan of Tobias but I don’t want to say he’s a least fave either

top 3 brotps: The three oldest Bluth children in any and all combinations (I love Buster but he just like doesn’t work well with them a;slkfdj), George Michael and Maeby’s relationship is so fun whether platonic or not, and I surprisingly loved the stuff with Tobias and Lucille like...him actually being a good therapist on accident? Idk it was entertaining. And I of course love Gob having moments with anyone
top 3 favorite episodes/chapters/scenes/games in series: ugh fuCK. “Pier Pressure” and “Afternoon Delight” are absolute CLASSICS and I laugh EVERY TIME. "Good Grief” is another good one. But also like....anything from s2 is great, including the original appearance of Tony Wonder in “Sword of Destiny”
Also I will say the original cut of s4 > remix and I would like to add “A New Attitude” and also “Colony Collapse” - surprise, surprise, I chose Gob’s episodes! I can’t remember the name of Lucille’s or Maeby’s but they were also so well done and ugh SEASON FOUR DESERVES MORE LOVE OKAY IT’S NOT AS BAD AS PEOPLE SAY
top 3 other things u think ppl who like this thing should watch/read/play: like I said on crazy ex answers, I think crazy ex-girlfriend weirdly works. 30 Rock is a good one (especially if you love our gay son Gob, since then you get our gay son Devon in a few episodes). Community! I’ve only seen s1-4 because I can’t bear to watch Troy leave but s1-3 are solid
