since we briefly talked abt this one time.... blunder summer camp au hehe
okay this is one i actually wanna write so this outline will do me good lol
okay so gob and tony meet when they’re counselors at a summer camp--gob is a counselor because michael is too and lucille made him join him, to get him off her back for the summer.
tony took the opportunity because he wanted to help with the theatre portion of the summer camp and he wanted to get away from his big family for the summer
gob and tony are in charge of one of the cabins together, and at first they don’t think much of each other, tony thinks gob is kind of a spoiled rich kid and it bothers him
but gob grows to really like the kids and get along with them, and they see him as the “cool” counselor, and when tony sees gob isn’t terrible with kids he grows more fond of him
they spend evenings talking and find out that they’re becoming pretty good friends, opening up more to each other about how things are in their lives, both having family issues and all
one night they sneak off while the kids are asleep and maybe have a drink or two, not getting drunk but more loose, and they end up kissing
gob is confused because he’s never kissed a guy before but he always found guys attractive but he thought that was normal, not something that made you gay or bi or whatever, and tony has been working through his sexuality for awhile and gob all but confirms that he likes guys
they’re kind of awkward after the kiss but it was so nice and they’re in such close proximity to each other, it doesn’t take too long for them to start sneaking around and making out and maybe having sex in a shed at one point (a la wet hot american summer)
tony starts to get worried, though, because he’s never liked anyone as much as gob, but he thinks he’s just a summer fling to gob. what he doesn’t know is that gob really likes him too and it’s scaring him how attached he’s growing to tony
as the camp gets closer to ending, tony tells gob that they’re gonna be far away from each other during the school year so maybe they should cool it off, trying to be all mature and levelheaded about it but inside he’s regretting it so much. gob goes along with it because he trusts tony but it leads to some sleepless nights a lot of anxiety and worrying that he’ll never find someone like that again
on one of the last days gob finally tells tony he’s never gonna forget how fun the summer was and how important tony was to him and that’s when tony realizes that he can’t just ignore how strong his feelings are, because he knows gob feels them too
their relationship is strong despite the distance and they manage to visit each other during their last year of high school, and when they graduate they end up getting together with all the other counselors that they were friends with and when they tell them they’re a couple they said they kind of knew but they’re happy for them
and gob and tony are really happy they didn’t give up on each other THE END
