That said his interactions with ADA-44 were so cute??? He WAS named after the father of her namesake (Even if Derleth meant it more as a jab), and bonding with her was part of his character development. Girl(bot)dad Byron for the win

I'm pretty sure ADA-44 was named after Ada Lovelace, considering she's the one of the robot trio who does the most actual programming, and also the fact that she has a kinda Victorian/steampunk aesthetic and I read at one point that thhe steampunk aesthetic was partly inspired by Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage. I wonder if her manufacturers name all their robots after historical computer programmers?

The problem with ADA-44 is that it does such a good job insisting it's exempt from feelings, some fans actually believe it. Guys. Guys. I promise you ADA's choices are not 'maximally efficient'. It prioritized J-985 and Riley-9's safety above its programmed objective it cares so much
