Helen made stained glass, and Brett loves to admire it. They would try to travel to different cathedrals and observe the work there whenever he wasn’t working on cases.
26. What is their worst memory together?
TW: child injury
ooooo this is a tough one. Since she’s still under some reconstruction, I’ll go with the time she and Brett had their conversation during the Black Widow fic. Ada had ordered some of her lackeys to clear out space in a rookery for her informants, and while many of the urchins there were badly injured, one young urchin in particular ended up losing a limb because of it. When Brett found out, he was furious. He yelled at Ada, threatened her… and the worst part was that she stayed demure. In fact, she even found it a little funny that he cared at all. For Ada, the experience was annoying. For Brett, it was horrifying.
