For TMI Tuesday and your Inquisitors, what do they think of Solas after Trespasser? Do they have any plans for after things settle down?

Ohhhhhhoooo thank you for this ask!! Believe me I have some things about this.

Calliope is absolutely belligerent at first, she loses her arm, finds out her egg is the fucking dread wolf and holy shit it’s just a bad time. She tries activating any eluvian she finds because Creators help her she’ll save him at any cost, even her own life. Solas is the love of her life and she’s scared but her view will never change because she sees the good in him. Once things settle from that she moves to Kirkwall and helps the city guard, becoming a Red Jenny to help out the little people. After whatever happens in DA 4 she’ll settle down with Solas for sure.

Elessar, oh Elessar. ELESSAR IS PISSED. He’s so angry but also conflicted because if Solas had such a solid reason for shutting the ‘gods’ away then it should be okay, but the whole tearing the world apart, and you know, HURTING HIS TWIN SISTER. He is so fucking mad. Dorian helps soothe his nerves but it was so close for Elessar that he almost sucker punched that goddamn egg. He eventually snuck into Tevinter with Dorian and worked on the downlow to look for spies from Fen'harel. If he could even be called that. It took a long time for him to stop snarling about that name.

Ari is scared to say the least, not for himself but for Solas. Solas was a teacher and a confidant to him through his entire time in the Inquisition, he taught him things he never thought he’d learn and it really opened his eyes. But when it was revealed that Solas was the Dread Wolf? His guts clenched. He knew Solas had lied before, but not on this level, sure Ari felt betrayed but never had he been so terrified that his friend would die for a reason such as that. Ari and Krie both became Red Jennies afterwards, helping Calliope along during the harder years, they of course settled down somewhere near Denerim and keep Stab Jr close.

Ennis and Evra both have the same reaction, this idiot has got to be out of his mind, and then downright enraged. It’s a much different rage from Elessar’s as both of them were devout Dalish, screaming about how they should have known that they’re gods were shit, and basically slavers. They were also pissed that the person they had counted on was a fucking BAD GOD, and that Calliope had been duped by an asshole. Evra continued to be extremely angry about it, eventually telling her children about the true history rather than sugar coating it, and tells them they can have whatever faith. She believes hardcore in the fact that Andrastian faith is more tied in to Solas than anything else. She never tells Cullen however, not wanting to offend his faith, as she loves him too much. Ennis eventually just shrugs it all off and ignores it like everything else, he would rather tag along with his love Bull than deal with it. Although the both of them always help Calliope regardless.

Daisy is the one that quietly fumed at Solas although she tried to kick the Eluvian open to go and take a shit on everything Solas loves. Daisy welcomes Calliope every time she crawls into her shared bed with Sera, and snuggles the Inquisitors nightmares away. Sera and Daisy both end up living with Calliope to help out with the Red Jennies as well as give enormous amounts of emotional support.

August is confused, very confused. He never liked Solas to begin with but now it’s just like “what do I do now?”. His entire faith was questioned by Evra as she vented to him about the Andrastians possibly being duped by Fen'Harel himself, and he was just one big “I don'g fucking know”. It was so extensive that he couldn’t wrap his head around the whole idea even when Silvhen explained what had happened. He honestly never settles down due to the fact he married Cassandra, and they both are so justice driven that they constantly are in and out of finding things to do.

Silvhen is, happy almost. He feels angry that someone he looked up to lied to him, but he eventually agreed with what Solas said. He feels that it would be so much better with the Fade and the world as one, since he had been abandoned by his parents due to being a mage. He thinks that nothing would be better than that to show everyone how good mages can be, especially if future generations could be exposed to magic for so long they just became accepted. Eventually he has a falling out with Calliope and joins the Dread Wolf’s forces. It’s been undecided if Liri followed him or not.

And lastly the Adaar Twins:The twins feel very confident they should just crush Solas like they fucking bug he is at the end of Trespasser, they’re incensed with the idea that Solas only wants to restore the world for elves when there are so many others in Thedas. Genocide is not something that they think is a very good idea, and is certainly not going to win you over with anyone with common fucking sense. They protect Calliope in any way they can to make sure that the assassins know who exactly they’ll have to get through to sabotage the Inquisition, all the while helping their respective partners, Ranier, and Josephine. While they may not support the trusting of Solas anymore they will help Calliope until their last breath.

Another small thing for @http-kirk :^))))))) Large tears rolled down Sanem's cheeks in rivers as she desperately wiped at her nose to keep it from running, to no avail of course. For a moment time stood still, the Inquisitor sobbing her heart out to Avary and Avary looking back at her with enough concern to crush the sun. Then he held out his arms. Spread out into the night as if he could shut it all away if she came forward. Sanem collided with Avary, body trembling and shaking from the force of her weeping; her arms wrapped around his neck as she buried her face in one of his broad shoulders. Strong arms encompassed her, warm and safe, everything she had needed. A different kind of love her sister gave on nights like this, Avary was one big conduit for gentleness; was every brother like this? "Everything will be okay, Em. You're strong enough, you always have been", he murmured, stroking her hair with the softest touch. "I'm scared, Avary. Everyone is counting on me and if I fail-" "You won't, and even if you stumbled no one would leave you behind. We would help you pick up the pieces and start again. I promise" With those words everything in Sanem's heart shattered and swelled with joy simultaneously. The tears burst once again but petered off as quick as they had started; surprisingly with a bubbly laugh that never seemed possible even under normal circumstances. The mage drew away from her brother and gave him the best smile she could muster. Of course he outshined her in that category. As per usual. Without speaking they settled into the couch that the twins had dragged out onto the balcony (much to Josephine's despair), and sat in silence for a little while. Eventually Sanem's head drifted onto Avary's shoulder, heavy with sleep, and he began to tell her all about the stars. Just as Ta'Valia would. He made up fantastical stories about a nug and a deepstalker that became friends; then somehow became immortalized within the night sky. How a Qunari woman had taken the greatest throne among the stars for saving the world. Before either of them knew it they had fallen fast asleep, both drooling on the other which seemed to be a family trait. Although Ta'Valia professed never to have drooled in her life. The cool night driven away into morning with the siblings snores and Skyhold awakening to another bright morning. Cole would swear up and down that the day would feel the best than any other had felt before; things were quiet and calm, lovely even. Well into the morning Ta'Valia had come back from her Red Jenny adventures and found her siblings curled up against each other, snoring peacefully. Just as it should be.

Welcome to the Family

For @http-kirk because he made a cutie qunari and then asked if he could be long lost siblings with the twins. I SAID OF COURSE BECAUSE THE MORE THE MERRIER.

His name was Avary. A hulk of a qunari, large hands that could crush a human skull like a toothpick, but with the eyes of a lost puppy. Sanem glanced towards her twin sister, both girls just as confused but interested in this man; he claimed to be their older brother and not without proof. All the physical appearances pointed towards the possibility, blazing red hair, freckles dotting all over the same shade of grey tinged flesh, all three possessing the same curling horns that ended in fine points; the only difference between them were the eyes. Eyes that Sanem remembered their father having, color that spoke of honeycomb and a pocket full of sovereigns, a color to rival Commander Cullen’s. But Avary’s were the color of a lush forest or the fields that they used to play in as children. Two bright emeralds that stared back at her with a gentleness that neither of the twins had seen in their lifetime. 

He was home.

Breaking her gaze from Ta’Valia, the Inquisitor chuckled and shifted in her great throne. Every noble’s attention had sharpened; their noses up in the air and ready to scoff when Sanem turned him away. But she didn’t. Instead she rose from the gilded throne and grinned warmly at Avary, Ta’Valia coming to stand next to her with the same thought. Right arm extended towards the qunari warrior she uttered words neither of them thought they would utter:

“Welcome to the family, brother”

An eruption of gasps echoed about the main hall, and more than one whoop could be heard from the back of the room; Josephine had been watching from a distance and was now hugging the dear life out of poor Varric. Although he didn’t seem to care much. In fact he was grinning so hard Sanem was sure that it would split the dwarf’s face in two. The Inquisitor stepped forward a little more insistently, gesturing that Avary should take her hand, Ta’Valia nearly dying of laughter beside her sister. A wave of joy washed over Sanem as the shocked Avary took hold of the gloved hand and grunted when she pulled him into the biggest hug she had ever given. Just this once she would allow some affection in front of the Orlesians. Maker knows the damned nobles needed some good sense knocked into them anyway.

Sanem was just about to let go when she felt Ta’Valia come up behind them and (rather awkwardly; though effectively) bear hug both of her siblings. Laughter exploded out of the twins as they crushed closer to Avary who was just melting within the embrace, poor boy didn’t know what he had coming with those two. 

Surely it would be a great adventure.
