Sticks doodle from last night. Bg is based off Jungle Joyride.
I enjoyed Sonic Unleashed when it came out, but one issue I always had about the game was the lack of other characters in it. Aside from Tails and Amy, you don't really see anyone else which is disappointing. I understand Sega can't continuously make everyone playable, but they can at least still acknowledge they exist, so I put together my own idea on what could have been done to improve Unleashed (especially if they every decided to remaster it).
First off, Tails role can stay the same helping Sonic with technical stuff and flying him around the world in the Tornado. Knuckles I think should be more involved in the story
because as the protector of the Master Emerald and someone who's very knowledgeable about the Chaos Emeralds should be able to help restore their power. Also Archie Comics had the right idea pairring Knuckles with Chip (Light Gaia).
As for Sonic's friends, you can find them in different locations either providing information to you or giving you tasks/missions to complete.
Amy can be found in Spagonia doing sightseeing.
Cream & Cheese in Apotos getting ice cream.
Rouge treasure hunting in Shamar.
Big ice fishing in Holoska.
Blaze in Mazuri helping the villagers out (She was actually doing this in the IDW comics).
Team Chatix doing their detective work in different locations. Vector in Empire City.
Espio in Chun-nan.
And Charmy in Adabat.
Lastly we could have Shadow show up in random locations to challenge Sonic to a rival race like they did with Metal Sonic in Colors Ultimate.
Anyways, those are just my thoughts, like if you agree.
Entrées Flavor Texts:
A good meal is like a good caper-throughly planned, well-executed, savored, and satisfying. You come away feeling fulfilled. Now, whether that means a fully belly, a full heist bag, or a backup drive full of secrets...that's entirely up to you.
Tails's Adabat Griller
I discovered this dish while traveling with Sonic on yet another adventure to save the world. You can never go wrong with a skewer, and this one showcases all the local delicacies in one ho. Thanks to Big's adviice, I added a bit of fish, too!
The Knuckles Wrap
It doesn't matter if you're searching through Pumpkin Hill, Wild Canyon, or Aquatic Mine, this wrap is just satisfying. You'll keep coming back to it and be thinking about it long after it's finished.
Rouge's Spiral Roast
I don't do anything small. My spy ops need to be thrilling. My jewel heists can't be for mere trinkets. And when I sit down to dine, I need something exquisite and robust. Never settle for anything less than the best, my darlings.
Eggman's Eggs-Quisite Lunch
A man of my genius and work ethic needs a hearty lunch to get me through the day. This hefty helping of omurice and tempura is more than enough to satisfy me. That is, of course, because I'm inspired by its plotting grin before I dig in. That is the (replicated) smile of a genius.
Trivia: This appears as an edible item in Sonic Unleashed.
Eggman's Master Meal Plan
If I'm to maintain my signature feared figure, I need a steady supply of protein and calories. I've mastered the art of fry cooking, and thus my bountiful box of golden fried goodness comes out perfect every time.
Vector's Garlic Collector
Aw, yeah! A meal fit for a king, I tell ya! Each slice is as good as the last. Every time you finish one, you'll say, "I want one more" until it's all gone! 'Course that happens a lot faster when a couple of freeloaders decide they are hungry after all and muscle in on dinner.
Vector's Tangled leads of a Delicious Mystery
Now this is where you go when you want to load on carbs when you aren't loaded. It's simple, it's cheap, it's filling, it's cheap, and you can dress it up however you like. Also, it's cheap! Just because you can make it easily doesn't mean it's low quality, though!
Espio's Hidden Truth
Like the ninja, the onigiri hides its true nature deep within--it's delicious, hidden nature. Its unassuming appearance can even fool the uninitiated. And like a well-trained ninja, it is versatile. This is my preferred recipe, but onigiri can be filled with almost anything.
Froggy's Fortune
I go fishing with my pal Froggy all the time. He's a big eater, so I catch lots of fish. He only eats bugs, though. More fish for me, I guess!
20 - Adabat
I finally played Unleashed just a while ago. Is it too hard or am I terrible? Because I constantly lose in Adabat speed levels.
Nope! It's just difficult game that requires practice and a degree of patience for putting in that practice. The best example I've read is when Chris Franklin did a video about Sonic games over on Errant Signal where he specifically compared Sonic Unleashed to something like Guitar Hero or Rockband: memorizing a sequence of events and executing that sequence perfectly.
Jungle Joyride (Adabat's daytime levels) are some of the last ones in the game, so they're going to really push you on that the hardest.
Like, famously, I came away from levels like Jungle Joyride and Arid Sands with my hands shaking because they were so intense and nerve-wracking. I'd never played anything like it before.
My advice: Don't worry about boosting. There's no shame in going a bit slower until you learn the layout a bit more. Now, that's tougher to do in Jungle Joyride, because there are a number of segments where you basically have to boost or die:
Any time the game makes you run across water
When you're being chased by the big green robot
When the trio of yellow robots are dropping firebombs in front of you
If you're in one of those three segments, you HAVE to boost.
Otherwise? Just let off the gas. Grinding out high ranks are for the post game.
(Even now, a video like this can take me upwards of 30-60 minutes to get the perfect run.)
just rambling because I was playing the day stage of Jungle Joyride in Sonic Unleashed last night and I just gotta say, holy COW this level has SO MUCH GOING ON??? It's always doing something weird and exciting, every time I think it'll end it just gets crazier, it's such a good level goodness. Like, one moment I'm in a jungle? and now I'm fighting a robot?? and now i'm dashing over water??? AND NOW IM OVER A WATERFALL?????????
sonic unleashed i love you
Also this song? HELLO????? ITS SO GOOD????????????
