Still, he's rifling through the drawer of his desk, soon brandishing a pen and notebook.

                           “HEY   --   sister.  Hold up.”   Before she left,  really  --  he sat himself squarely upon the nearby couch,  his chems spread out in all directions around him.  Like the points on a compass.  But he let out a  long  breath  --  hadn’t realized he’d been holding it in.  Fingers curled into fists and spread again,  and Hancock sunk his body heavier into the couch.

“Got a few things t’say  --  ‘fore y’get going.  Just,  uh...  shit that’s really needin’ to get  out,  ya dig?”  //   @adamantixm  liked for a starter!

                    “I’ve never seen you around here before.” That voice is gravel underfoot, harsh as it is from the abuse of smoke accumulated in his lungs for the better of a decade. Terrible habit of his. Better than the last, as it stands. His blind eye squinted, useless, while the other stared on. He hadn’t quite weighed in his opinions on this woman just yet. Looked a bit rough around the edges. Like she’d been out long in the wastes and could do for a rest.

ooc. teegs!  i’ve said it before and i’ll probably say it again:  i love val, not only because  punchy characters are my weakness,  but because you write her in such a convincing and impressive manner that it’s  CLEAR  how passionate you are about your characterization underneath everything that you write.  you have an obvious passion for what you’re doing, what you’re writing;  watching it unfold upon my dash is a  genuine  pleasure.

i also really dig the dynamic that we’ve got going on between hancock and val? and i can’t wait to explore more of it because of the way  your writing pulls me in.  it’s something that makes me want to write more  with you,  because it’s j ust t hat good.
