⧠` DEACON   â
â ââ well, yeah. â ( he wonât call brahmin shit outright, but the way his neck cranes, his eyes steeled and searching behind his polarized lenses, itâs clear he has his doubts. yet thereâs flippancy enough to his tone and in the lines around his mouth and the creases hiding beneath his frames to suggest itâs nothing to argue about. not for today. )Â
â thick skin â ? hey, youâd be surprised, glory. one time i stubbed my toe, and i didnât cry for a whole two minutes. cross my heart. â ( he knows full well what she meant. side steps it all the same, smile as thin as the line he toes with a synth with whom heâll never see eye to eye. sheâs sharp, perceptive. deacon counts himself lucky that a keen eye will still only get her so far. after all, one layer is nothing; the dissipation of smoke, at most. ) â iâll take this as your admission that you care deeply about my feelings, though. really, iâm touched. â
She'll grit her teeth, twist her lips into a bit of a sneer; of course, this is probably on her: when was he ever serious about anything? She shouldn't have anticipated anything more than a few illogical quips and a couple more obligatory deflective remarks; it's maddening, but it's the only Deacon she's ever known.  And while it's clear from a few cavalier conversations with P.A.M. and Dez that he's probably one of their most valuable assets  (  'probably' because it'd piss her off to admit that his stealth bullshit might even work better than her own methods  ), and that there could be more more in his bald head than he lets on, most of her doesn't actually care enough to dig or press or demand the truth when it's not given; instead she just shrugs.  â  Right.  â  He's slippery, and he slips through her fingers each time; something she's almost gotten used to by now.
â   I care enough about your feelings that I'm not gonna beat your ass in front'a Tinker an' Carrington.   â   A bit of a wry grin happens across her face before she shakes her head.   â  Y'know, you keep pullin' your elusive loner garbage, an' you're gonna wind up with a bullet in between those shady eyes, my friend.   I ain't a life coach or whatever, but y'might wanna look into finding someone to watch that back of yours one'a these days; I hear it lightens the load. Could even leave you less dead.   â
ok but hear me out: railroad RENT au,
god ok iâm SORRY for being gone for so long, but school is kicking my ass rn ( midterms and all ) but high key ive been dicking around on merrill ( @pareiah ) and zev ( @givenoath ) lately, but even there im...sparse. rip. the most surefire way 2 find me is on my personal ( @zevrrans ) but yeah. flexes. HOPEFULLY IâLL BE ABLE TO CATCH UP ON THINGS SOON IM REALLY SORRY but thankyou all for being so patient with me 8âČ^IÂ
Glory: âWelcome to my safehouse, or as I call it,â Desdemona: âDonât -â Glory: âThe Glory Hole.â Desdemona: âEvery single time.â Deacon: *hi-fives*
@geigercounts
â if i have to be honest with you, itâs hard. living like this. the face swaps, the body modification â none of itâs easy. but, the reason why i go under the knife so much has nothing to do with my enemies or yours. thatâs just a smokescreen.Â
ââ look, iâm a mutant. i was born with glass bones and paper skin. every morning i break my legs, and every afternoon? i break my arms. hell, at night, i lay awake in agony until my heart attacks put me to sleep. â
â  Sucks to suck, my guy.  â  Â
i know everyones pissed about not being able to romance nick valentine and deacon but honestly where the FUCK is my âglory lives and she gets to be my companion and i can kiss her, even on the mouthâ DLC
⧠` RAIDER  â
UNLIKE HER MEN, veroleth knew when to pick her battles. and close combat with anyone toting a fully loaded minigun just wasnât a battle she was going to get in on if given any opportunity to decline. ( because nobody wants to be pumped full of lead first thing in the morning, right? )
AND SO, WITHOUT much at all in the way of returned conversation, the petite raider only steps aside for the other woman. her dark gaze does not waver, and they certainly donât trail elsewhereâ- not with a gun aimed at her. for the moment, this woman has her complete, undivided attention.Â
UNTIL HER MEN patrolling the borders happened to come along and stumble upon the two women, which wouldnât be long now at all. not if she made a bit of noise; of all the things the legendary raider was notorious for, talking to herself was not one of them. the nosy little shits would come to see who it was their leader had crept off to see. in the meantime, sheâll stall. see which one of those fuckers went and got a bounty on their heads this time around.
â ALL RIGHT, THEN. which of my men is your â beef â with? â
â  Whichever one of your guys thought it'd be a smart idea to fuck with a synth.  â   Call it motherly instinct ( although she'd never disenshroud the fact that she fashions herself that way; no, Glory is Glory, and she's not one for sentiment, not until someone breaches the bournes of her business, and her safehouses  ). There's a hostility about her words, but this time it's a little less restrained than when she accosted; if G7-81 had a reputation, it was one which lauded her as a trigger-happy gunslinger, and she didn't like to disappoint          or at the very least, she wouldn't want word to spread that the Angel of Death had 'gone soft'; but as it stands, she isn't looking for a fight ( 'ammo's expensive', she'll say back at HQ, 'an' I already blew all my caps on the last op' ), not a big one, anyway.
â   I didn't expect a raider to have much in terms of ethics, but screwing with me an' mine don't usually end well for the one on the other side'a my gun.   â   It wasn't like their relationship with the Brotherhood; the Brotherhood, who sought them out because their messed up sense of beliefs dictated that her people weren't people; the Brotherhood, who toted such a gasconade and so much bravado it was almost laughable when they fell. No, raiders were different: she couldn't predict their kind        if they even counted as a kind to speak of.
Defenseless, she wants to sneer; defenseless fucking synth: one of hers ( as if there were those that weren't; every damn Gen counted, and she felt every goddamn casualty ).   â   Look, I dunno names, but if you can't tell me who was dicking around Parsons State, things ain't gonna be pretty.  â
this just in deacon likes fisting nd pegging more at 11
do u ever get emo because gloryâs a woc played by a woc nd she doesnt get shoehorned in to this category of âsuper strong independent woman who doesnt need a man / emotions / anything other than her Own Badasszness/etcâÂ
like im forever thankful tht glory is shown to be emotional and upset and sad at times, and shes got a bunch of flaws and strengths ???? that r highlighted an reinstated thru out her part within the narrative, Â
its true that she expresses a lot of Tough Stoicism over Real Strength sometimes ( stares @ her line thts liek âi need 2 Shoot Smthinâ when u talk to her for a while abt the institute, ) but she doesnt shy away from saying!!! how she feels!!! or talking abt certain scarring things that happened 2 her ( gestures,,, 2 curieâs quest,,,, an its ??? probably fair 2 assume that other members of the RR know more abt her than she tells the SoSu because lmfao she just fucken met the SoSu ok, )Â
idk Where i was going w/ this i just love my girl so much nd im glad she Exists ,
⧠` PEGGY  â
â Ohhh, â she says, and itâs sort of like sheâs just opened a Christmas present sheâs really not that keen on. Yeah, Peggy knows she needs to learn how to fire a gun, but sheâs far more interested in resolving things peacefully. You know, by talking them through? People still do that, right? â You wonâtâ You donât need to do that, Glory. Youâreâ Youâre a really busy person, yâknow? â
â  It's fine. â  And it isn't like she's opposed to spending more time shooting things; if rumour is to be believed, she actually likes putting a couple'a bullet holes in shit that gets in her way ( and she might have been the one facilitating those rumours in the first place ).   â  'Sides, we lose another agent in the field, we're gonna start lookin' like a bunch'a babies with bad aim.   â  Not to mention how bad it was for morale: striking names off an old chalkboard always had a harrowing feeling to it, even if they were just epithets.   â  You gotta know how to protect yourself out there. No one's gonna go easy on you if pullin' a trigger gets shit done faster.   â Â
⧠` UNVEILINGTRUTH  â
â W-woah⊠youâre really tough, ainât ya? â Piper isnât one to depend on others to protect or rescue her, but itâs a bit difficult to watch out for yourself when youâve run out of ammo and stimpaks. Not to mention that she might have underestimated her enemiesâ well, thatâs what happens when you pick a fight with The Brotherhood. She didnât purposely mean to, of course, she merely wanted to do some inside work to get a story about them. Sheâs always been anti-brotherhoodâ really, who wouldnât be? Still, that doesnât mean sheâs going to avoid from mentioning them in her paper. Theyâve always been a bit of a mystery to the people of Diamond City. Piper groans, wincing loudly as she tries to stand up, hazel gaze taking in the sight of the dead Brotherhood soldiers before her. Thereâs no way she would have been able to take down those four all by herself, not with her current lack of weapons. Â
â Youâre from the Railroad, arenât you? Jeez⊠never thought Iâd embarrass myself like this in front of one of you guys. Well, I appreciate the help. â She offers up a cheesy smile, exhaling heavily. â Juuuust give me a second. Itâs been a while since Iâve gotten punched by someone in a huge powersuit. â
â  Damn straight. â   Tough was certainly a word for it: one sheâll accept, at any rate. ( Badass being the favoured adjective, but whoâs keeping track? ) Though more or less, the sentiment hails as an offhanded confirmation to both inquiries cast her way: if affiliation to a clandestine organisation such as the Railroad could be toted proudly, she did just that.Â
From the outside, the Brotherhood of Bastards Steel appeared to be, not only a tyrannical annoyance, but a band of progressively vexing pseudo-despots; attacking synths was their adage, and it followed that they were sworn enemies ( if you wanted to be dramatic ) of the RR and all that they stood for. Picking fights with civilians, however, that was messed up. Even more-so than she had rightfully assumed.
â  Anâ I wouldnât call kicking B.o.S. ass âembarrassing yourselfâ,  â  a hand is extended somewhat hospitably; thereâs a hint of admiration in the voice that addresses her.  â  Hell, Iâve worked with guys who ainât fit enough to get decked by an asshole in a power suit: Iâd say you did pretty good.        But hey: your call, not mine.   â Â
cute synth girlfriends forever pls
