I haven't read the books but I'm pretty sure they still went out of their way to top whatever was written. That was the grossest thing I've ever seen on TV, I'm pretty sure.

Just read both New Avengers and that Avengers issue. SO FAR THIS RUN IS FABULOUS. Lu’s art makes everything look like an intense, epic drama. Love it.

AGREED. I think they're definitely succeeding in making it feel so.... huge. Like, all of New Avengers has felt that way to me so far at least, but gaaaaahhhhhhhhh!

I don't know that I'd use the word "unfair." I imagine there are more women who would avoid the gym without a safe place than men. Not saying there are no men, but in terms of offering services based on demand, I'm guessing demand's not really there.

Seems less to me about intentional structural inequality and more about trying to create a safe space for a marginalized audience in a typically male-dominated, and potentially intimidating, environment. *shrug*

I never said it was intentional. I just find it unfair.
