So you see. Despite the accidental lavender marriage title, the snow marriage works most as gay men marry a straight woman who falls in love with him and say nothing to her abt his feelings and activities and nothing and leave her stay at home having children while being out of home 24/7. Julia queerness is present as an obstacle and inconvenience revealed later for crassus, he prays on her because she's one of the only women in his life that very much never protest or contradict his word. She was very much raised to follow man's word without doing any questions, just to obey along her inexperience in having romantic relationships with other men due to being sheltered and a damn teen it's exactly why snow goes after her.

That's why later Julia feels so cheated, so scammed, gets a very respectful and decent "dating" prior to her engagement with a charming man who didn't touch nor kiss her and nodded at her words without listening, despite this she's very much promised a different relationship and expectations that get broken when her husband refuses to even be in the same room than her most of the time and treat her like she got the plague when pregnant.

This ofc in crassus mind was the perfect result, this what he wanted after many years faking and trying to have relationships with women that always end up questioning why he's such a bad bad bad boyfriend, there's a tension in this being mostly a result of his misogyny and the fact, ofc he don't like them in that way but the bigger root it's simply don't think in woman as worth of anything, so yeah. He's more than fine because Julia can be grumbling and grumpy but only on her head, she isn't free of questions but wouldn't say them aloud at all and that's what he signed for but never cared to ask if she would, because she didn't and why get sad at how things end.

And there's a more messy layer that later due to the whole Miss Aelia matter, Julia's own queerness start to be obvious for him and that represents a problem, a big one and end in why he passes from treating her with delicate indifference to trying to correct her by force and violence it's bc Julia by be queer is then not for what he signed, it's a cheater too because she's not a woman madly and devoted in love with him, someone like that could LEAVE and realized what's that he feels so conflicted about.

So, I haven't actually listened to a lot of music lately- apart from Pink Fluffy Unicorns at the office (my team is weird ok? & I love it. Front desk peeps keep saying oh they're 'having their five minutes again in marketing' when we're being weird and loud xD) bc between working 8h a day, 1h break 1h commute and if I can get it the 10h sleep that I do! need! to be fully awake, I just don't have a lot of free time lol. Never gonna work a fulltime job in the long term i s2g...
