Gunmar and Ascuas’s youngest son was Fuego. When Ascuas died Gunmar became more strict with his son. Sadly ruling over a tribe on his own meant less time with his son. So he had his oldest, Bular, watch him.

Being a young bull who didn’t want his younger sibling around, Bular would send Fuego on “missions”. One day Fuego traveled to far and found the current Trollhunter. Wanting to prove himself, the whelp attacked the Trollhunter.

Two weeks the Gumm-Gumms looked for their missing prince. All they found was blood and his favorite dagger near a cliff.

Bular’s punishment? He was forced to watch as his beloved Addergoole was turned into a changeling. Worse if all? Addergoole never hated Bular or Gunmar for it. He stayed loyal to them.

How cruel fate can be

Addergoole smiled sweetly at Bular. “Oh you like me now?”

The dark prince snorts, “Be quite.” He was trying to finish a paintings but couldn’t focus with Addergoole bothering him.

“Do you think your father would approve of us if he knew?” Addergoole asked, leaning next to the painting.

Bular snorts, “His son with an impure? That would be the day.”

Addergoole glares at him. “Is that what I am to you? A servant? You know if you had listened to me, I won’t be a changeling.”

Bular finally looks at the Ra troll prince. “It’s not my fault you weren’t fast enough.”

Addergoole snarls at him, “Is anything every your fault?! Or you to much in denial to except that I am a changeling because your idiot of a father accused my brother-!” He was cut off by Bular punching him across the face. He falls onto his hands and knees.

“He is your king! I am your prince! You will not speak in suck a manner!” He bellowed at his puphood friend.

Addergoole then stands up, back to his former lover. “While you busy playing mouse with the Trollhunter pup, I am going to visit OUR daughter’s grave.”

Then he was gone, leaving Bular alone with his rage and thoughts. He turns to the painting of him with the humans worshiping him. In the painting he was all alone.

All alone.

My Love

(might become a full on fic. Depends on what you guys. If this gets more than 10 reblogs) The wind tugged at the little hair that Addergoole had. The changeling didn’t care, he needed to get to the meeting point. He looks down at the three pups at his feet. They cry out in protest, one of them, a little bull plops down in the cold snow.  Addergoole looked around, his honey colored eyes fell onto a log. He then nudges his pups to it. “Get up before you freeze to death.” When they reach the log, Addergoole place the cubs between himself and the log. He stares at them. He rembers the night that he let his guard down with Bular. He sighs and lays his headdown. When he wakes up he will bring two cubs to his brother.

Addergoole protecting Bular. Not done with it but I thought I should share.  One time that Bular didn’t get the chance to kill a Trollhunter. Instead the Ra prince turned changeling got that honor.

Remembering Titanic

April 14th 2020 marks the 108th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. I’ve updated this post from a few years ago to share with you as we used to live only a short drive from where the ill-fated ship set sail for America. The Titanic Exhibition in Cobh county Cork is well worth a visit. Heartbreak Pier was the last place where some of Titanic’s passengers touched dry land. The ship arrived…

There were things Quercus knew that didn't really matter.   Their siblings were not quite clones, but everyone thought they were; they weren't quite clones of their parent, but everyone thought they were.

(They knew something that did matter, which was that their family line's exact method of reproduction continued to confuse both botanists and fae geneticists, but it still seemed to work, although Quercus hadn't been interested in trying themselves yet.)
