Any ideas for an au where Kaeya is not only a trouble magnet but also Pyro Bait? As in he attracts Pyro users and Pyro aligned beings like catnip.

How would he even first discover this? Because Klee is clingy? Amber keeps acting suspiciously around him and comes up with dumb reasons as to why she keeps coming back? Because Bennett doesn't even try to hide it and always gives him warm hugs?

Because Diluc (despite his words) keeps coming back and showing up wherever he is? He's probably the only one - besides Amber - who actively tries to resist the pull.

When he goes to Liyue and Xiangling, Xinyan and Hu Tao follow him around?

Maybe he realizes it whenever he's in trouble and it's always a Pyro wielder who bails him out?

When the Pyro Archon - in all her tiny loli glory - attaches herself to him too?

It would be funny to see when it finally dawns on him that he is a Pyro magnet on top of already being a trouble magnet. Now all of the Pyro users and enemies (Slimes, Hilichurls, Pyro Regisvine, etc.) being drawn to him makes a whole lot more sense. 

He would drop his head into his hands and just groans loudly. I bet he'd even come to the realization in Angel's Share when he's half sloshed and thinking back over the past month.

Hello! I’m back and I’ve got an au that makes even less sense then the last ones!

Okay so,people start going missing in Mond,at first it’s just regular travelers not showing up for weeks,and then citizen’s,and once a new Vision user disappears,and is found by the traveler bound to a Irminsul Tree,(The tree in the domains) the hysteria in Mondstat reaches a high,and the knights know they have to do something,so they send out Kayea and Mona,(The only people who can cut the branches) to go do Domain Search and Rescue.The whole situation gives Diluc a bad feeling,and he has a sneaking suspicion that this is connected to Khaenri'ah,so he keeps a close eye on his brother,and actually starts volunteering with Mona (Much to Monas delight,she’s terrified of the trees for some reason) so he can keep an eye on his dumb brother and make sure he doesn’t get snatched,and on their little search and rescue adventures they even bond a little,it’s a win all around.

Until it gets worse,In about a month,even Vision users from Liuye are missing,and Diluc is terrified that one day either hel or Kayea will wake up bound to a Irminsul tree,and is slowly losing sleep and becoming more on edge,Kayea can’t just watch his brother slowly kill himself like that (even though he’s doing the exact same thing) and decides that on the days after search and rescue they can sleep at Monas house (Because she can protect herself with runes and stuff)so he can make Diluc get some proper sleep,Mona makes the brothers stay home in Mond while she goes and does her new job,and comes back terrified with a small Liuyen teen who has Ley Line Flowers blooming out of his skin,Mona tells the Knights+Diluc that the child is actually the Adeptus Xiao,and that whoever is doing this is terribly powerful,and determined.

But so is she

Mona comes home that night with wounds infected by Ley Line residue

Dainself returns to Khaenri'ah covered in deep wounds and soaked to the bone.

Mona returns home to find Diluc and Kayea missing,and realizes that the fate of the brothers is up to only themselves now.

Okay I have another au lmao

The abyss order traps Xiao and reverts him back into a child (about Klees age).Diluc goes clearing out a domain in Stone Gate and finds him trapped inside a sheild the abyss mages trapped him in,the moment the sheild breaks he bolts,Diluc’s heart shatters when he sees how scared and malnourished Xiao is,and tries approaching him,only to get blasted by gale-force winds to the face,eventually Diluc convinces him to calm down,and carries him back to Dawn Winery.The next day he asks about his name and family,he gets his name but Xiao can’t remember his family that well,he says his father had a geo vision,and that he had similar eyes and hair,and that’s all he knows,Diluc leaves him in Adlines care,knowing if she could deal with him as a child,she could probably take care of anyone,about a week later he’s consulted all of his contacts,and he barley has any leads about this mystery child,but atleast no one knows about him,until one day he gets loose from Adeline and runs straight to Mondstad,looking for Diluc,with Adeline in close pursuit,unfortunately Adeline isn’t as fast as a very determined adeptus and Xiao reaches the gates before her,Running straight into Diluc,Kayea,and Rosaria,Xiao jumps at Diluc and hugs him tightly,Diluc,shaken and confused,hugs him back,once Xiao finally releases Diluc,Kayea gets down on one knee and introduces himself to Xiao as the calvary captain of Mond,before glancing up at Diluc with a face that meant he had some explaining to do,and quickly looking back at Xiao,He asks him the same questions Diluc did,and gets the same awnsers,Kayea offers to escort him around Mond,and unfortunately for Diluc,the enamored child readily accepts,Xiao seems to get along well with everyone in Mondstad,making fast freinds with everyone he encounters,and making a especially strong bond with Klee,so strong he didn’t want to leave the Headquarters,much to Diluc’s chagrin,the sun starts to set a little while later,and Xiao is already fast asleep,Kayea finally confronts his brother about the mystery kid,and Diluc tells him everything he knows,Kayea was the only contact of his he didn’t tell,out of fear for...something,so telling him felt like a weight off his chest,he prayed that his brother knew something about this.Diluc can’t have nice things though,because Kayea doesn’t know anything either,but what he does get,is a promise,Kayea promises to help him protect Xiao,Diluc feels relieved that someone else will help him,and feels the happiest he’s felt in a long while,maybe everything will be okay,for once.

That is so cute! I'd love to see a story about that!

About the Pyro magnet au, what if the reason Kaeya and later others realize he's a pyro magnet is bc of the traveler? Like when the traveler is using Pyro alignment their just as attracted to Kaeya as other Pyros but returns to normal when using any of the other alignments.

That would honestly be the funniest way for them to find out. I can also see the Traveler not telling Kaeya after they figured it out just to watch him squirm whenever it happens again.

They need entertainment too.

Since Kaeya was literally the reason I started playing Genshin Impact, he holds a special place in my heart. I love his design and the lore behind his character.

He has so much potential that seems to be barely tapped into. I can't wait to see what Mihoyo has in store for him.

I HAVE GOTTEN HOOKED ON THE GHOST KAEYA CONCEPT. Hope you dont mind me asking but with how Kaeya is friends with Chongyun, Xinqiu and seemingly Xiangling, how would they along with Diluc react to finding out that sometime after Diluc's visit when the place was trashed, another exorcist came in and decided to exorcise the troubled Kaeya so the young man could find peace? Feel like that'll bring in mixed reactions of sadness, anger and understanding

Oh, you read my mind. I was going to type up something like that. This is one way I can think of it happening.

After Chongyun and Xingqui came back to find the place trashed, they both knew that it was a bad idea to leave Kaeya alone. They take an extended vacation so that they can be by the spirit's side in his time of need.

Turns out they made the right choice because one of the potential buyers is furious that some dumb ghost is keeping them from getting a foothold in Mondstadt. They hire an exorcist to get rid of Kaeya so that they can hurry up and move into the manor.

The exorcist is a middle aged man, not bad looking, but also nothing special. When he arrives at the manor, the last thing he was expecting was for two young boys to be the ones to greet him. The one with light blue hair seems to realize who he is first and demands that he leave.

Insulted that a child thinks he can boss him around, he questions why these two foreigners are even here. The dark haired one responds that they are visiting a friend and that they aren't accepting any visitors at this time.

The exorcist is getting more irate and declared that he wasn't leaving until he exorcised the evil spirit here. Chongyun bristles as he says that there are no evil spirits here since his condition would have driven them off before he got close.

Getting fed up with having to explain himself to children, he shoves past the two, knocking down Xingqui and causing him to hurt his leg. It's his yelp and Chongyun's angry raised voice that causes Kaeya to appear.

While startled at first (the ghost didn't look as scary as he was expecting), the exorcist tries to start the exorcism. He doesn't get to finish because Kaeya notices Xingqui, the boy having followed the man inside despite his injured leg.

His resulting anger has him throwing the exorcist out the window. Ignoring the children calling for him, he follows the man outside to finish him off.

The man refuses to back down and summons Electro to his fingertips. He wasn't going to let this spirit suffer any longer.

Diluc and Jean have Kaeya's body in a carriage as they rush towards the manor. Barbara sits inside to keep him from jostling around too much, but the carriage refuses to slow down.

Diluc wishes that he could just teleport to his brother's side. Jean is worried about what will happen when they get there. It isn't until they get closer that they notice that they can hear what sounds like screaming.

With dread filling their stomachs, they wished the horses could go just a little faster.

Haha ask part two because tumblr is dumb In the comics Collie gets injected with a kind of archon residue,I was thinking that Dottore injects Kayea with it too,because Kayea came from the abyss and everything,Kayea has got a ton of pent up guilt and anger so the residue takes over his body before Diluc can show up try calm him down,Kayea apologizes to Collie and tries to make it up to her and basically becomes her big brother,all while Diluc is trying to find whoever did this and find a cure.

Okay, so what you mean to say is that the child from the manga (that I haven't caught up on yet, only made it to where Amber and Collei run into Jean and Lisa) was injected with the residue from an archon and that Dottore does the same thing to Kaeya? Now that Kaeya knows what Collei is going through, he feels guilty for being so harsh to her and decides to become her ally? 

Sounds legit. 

For Kaeya to be injected, he would have had to have been captured and experimented on for a while. Maybe Diluc notices Kaeya's absence but doesn't really know what to do about it. He doesn't realize what’s going on, so he doesn't act fast enough to save Kaeya. 

It winds up being Collei who finds and rescues Kaeya because she overheard him talking about finding out what had happened to her and arresting whoever had done it. When she hadn't seen him since, she knew that he had to have been captured. She only just managed to find the new lab while - luckily - Dottore was gone and was able to get Kaeya out. 

She sets the place ablaze when she leaves and winds up getting the knights' attention. Jean is the one who finds Kaeya’s Vision abandoned in the cell he was kept in since Collie forgot to grab it on her way out. She’s comforted that her friend isn't dead because the Vision still shone dimly, though the light had still yet to fade. 

She sends out a search team to find him and decides that she has to let Diluc know, hoping that there would be some way he could help. At first, Diluc almost didn't even want to see her, but caves when she tells him that she has news about Kaeya. She tells him about the lab and where she had found Kaeya’s Vision. Diluc is furious that something like that had been happening just under his nose and comes to a decision along with Jean that they would try to find the culprit and search for Kaeya. 

Jean lets Diluc keep the Vision as a way to keep the man sane and as a reassurance that Kaeya hadn't died somewhere else. He keeps it on him at all times, even when sleeping.

Kaeya and Collei travel together as they try to avoid Dottore, the Fatui, and anyone who might be looking for them. They both knew that their conditions were too unstable for them to risk being around people for too long. As time goes on, they even start to warm up to one another. Collei helps Kaeya adjust to his new predicament without his Vision and Kaeya in turn becomes softer towards Collei, apologizing for how he acted before. The two end up becoming protective of each other and very attentive to the other’s needs. 

Collei doesn't know when she came to see Kaeya as a brother and Kaeya doesn't know when he came to see Collei as a sister, but neither of them really seem to mind and just roll with it.

Kaeya and Collei became kindred spirits as they just try to survive.
