...no, I’m not Adele. It’s just the blogger behind this blog. You probably know me, as I have another blog here on Tumblr, and after thinking it through, I decided to be open about it. As for the why..I’ll explain you later. I’m @addictedtobrits, but probably you had already figured it out by now. I never wanted this blog to be a news network for the Cumberbatch family’s fans, I just wanted it to be a place I could use to collect things I like about the Cumberbatch family, to publish my (rare) edits, so that the other blog could be a more diversified blog. But my busy real life outside Tumblr makes me an awful blogger and I ended up using only my main blog. Also, and you can read it in the description of the blog, I wanted this one to be free from the drama the Cumberbatch fandom is so full of these days. In fact, three are the things I don’t quite like: haters, stans and drama. The first two are actually the two sides of a same coin and the drama is what they do. Constantly. My hopes for this blog were those of a place where I could talk with people about Benedict, his wife and their baby (both about the public and private lives), always trying to be respectful of the privacy they ask for and certainly deserve. I like to confront myself with fellow bloggers, share our emotions and opinions, declaring the importance of the freedom of speech, as long as it’s not offensive to anyone.
But lately something has changed, something that made me decide to turn off anons here and to introduce myself to you: I am who I am, you know what I think and how I behave or what my blogs’ policies are: I ask you now to do the same when you want to talk to me through this blog.
The thing is: I’ve been receiving messages from a notorious blogger, someone who doesn’t particularly like when people don’t share her/his ideas, whenever I write about something she/he doesn’t agree on. As I said, I don’t like stans, and I have to believe this particular blogger falls in that category. Of course, since I hate drama, I’m not asking you to stop following her or anything (if you think this is childish behaviour from my part, please feel free to unfollow me or block me or whatever). I’m simply explaining you why I feel the need to make a few changes on this blog.
Other rules will still apply: no paparazzi pictures (Ben has made very clear he’s against them), no fan pictures taken without permission, no private details of their lives that can be used against them (we don’t want to help stalkers, do we?!).
Thanks for your time, and sorry if I bothered you with my silly rants.
