More burpees and less complaining!
Today’s WOD was awesome! I never thought I would say that…..EVER. But I am finding CrossFit to be my thing! I’ve gone through life struggling with diet and weight, and while I still make bad food choices occasionally, CrossFit is the right fitness choice for me! I love my box, the people who go there, the encouragement I receive, pushing myself harder and great staff/coaches who believe in each individual’s ability to reach their goals! CrossFit 777 rocks!
Today’s WOD was pretty tough even at the scaled down version but it’s amazing how quickly our body’s adapt to accommodate a change in activity. I feel less like throwing up and quitting, and more like a athlete. Even though I don’t look like one. YET! I am sure there will be plenty of days in the near future that I won’t want to go into the box and days I will want to give my coach an evil eye and the finger when he’s not looking. Especially when I see him write 400 meter backwards hill run on the whiteboard.*I better watch what I say, he reads my blog. He’ll probably make me do 200 burpees for that comment.The point is that I am there and I am committed 110% to me. One day maybe I can encourage someone else to take the first step towards living a healthier lifestyle. Hell I may already be doing that unknowingly through this blog. Hopefully my youngest son will see how active I am and realize that it’s something you work at your entire life.
