Still Humming Along
On my quest to root out certain addictive behaviors on my part, I have not touched Farmville in 4 days I think. I have visited Facebook only about half an hour a day, and I have turned off all notifications on my phone. I started re-reading the book 10 Arguments For Deleting Your Social Media Accounts. It’s some good stuff. I’m not going to quit just yet, but I am greatly reducing my digital footprint. And I decided to delete accounts I was no longer using from Instagram and Pinterest. From the very beginning I thought there was only so much time in the day, and signing up for more than one of these would really try and take up all of my time. I don’t want it to. It’s my time. I guess it’s similar to when I need added inspiration for weight loss, I re-read a good book I’ve kept on the subject. Certainly in that area, I have had many starts and stops, but I am still hanging in there, trying.
I have gotten more into writing now that a lot more of my time has been freed up. I had the notion to go to the gym today, but it was another one of those days where 75% of my joints hurt really bad. That’s very de-motivating. I’m trying to do some movement anyway, but it’s a battle the past two days.
Dad’s birthday is tomorrow, so we shall be doing our best to make him happy. He’ll hit the big 70. Nice milestone I think.
