Hi Steph, I read your blog post on S5 (which was really good, I’m glad to hear your opinion!), and I was wondering when or where Moffat/Gatiss admitted to queerbaiting? I don’t recall ever seeing that. Happy New Year!!!!

Hi Nonny!!
I’m glad you enjoyed my post, and appreciate my opinion on S5!
With regards to the Gatiss thing, it’s a LOT of the reason I had this ask sitting in my drafts for a couple of months… because I COULD NOT find the post I’m certain I reblogged about Gatiss admitting to the homoeroticism. I hate posting my meta-style asks without references, and I really wanted to post this ask before Dracula aired on NYD, so I posted it and still continued to try to find the original post. I think it was in a news article in an obscure magazine, and that’s why I can’t find it.
THAT SAID, you’ll have to forgive me because I’ve had a shit couple weeks, so I COMPLETELY overlooked just trying to Google for it instead. While I haven’t found the original article, I did some quick googling-and-skimming and found the following posts that I think are good followups to my initial post:

(Side note after looking at the above link: THIS IS THE MAGAZINE I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR OMG. Check this link first, this is the one I learned about this thing from. I’m going to still give you some additional sources that don’t really relate to this quote precisely, but they’re really interesting and shows you how many people saw the subtext. Because I’m nothing if not thorough in my research).

Again, I TRULY apologize for not providing a proper source in the initial link. My brain has been elsewhere, and REALLY hope that this ask’s reply makes up for my sloppiness!! <3
