📌 [ÉCHO] Mardi 24 juin, j’ai eu le plaisir et le bonheur de parler 💬 exploration, voyage, voies vertes et bleues, itinérance, vélo, rencontres, nature, papillon, découverte, péniches et voyage lent 🍃 à l'occasion de l'inauguration en grande pompe de la grande écluse de Réchicourt-le-Château (57) rénovée et repeinte.
🛶 🚲 Porte d’entrée fluviale vers la Lorraine à l’Ouest, puis l’Alsace en navigant vers l’Est, située au cœur du parc naturel régional de Lorraine, la grande écluse de Réchicourt-le-Château sur le canal de la Marne au Rhin est un site symbolique de ce territoire à plus d'un titre.
🛥️ Située sur le 2ème itinéraire touristique fluvial de France (3000 passages de bateaux /an), elle constitue un point d’attraction pour les touristes français et étrangers, tant son franchissement constitue une expérience unique pour les navigants.
🎯 Autant de raisons qui ont poussé les VNF - Voies navigables de France à choisir ce site emblématique pour mener à bien un projet artistique d’ampleur sur le fronton en béton de 600 m2 situé à l’aval de l’écluse.
🎨 Ce projet d’œuvre monumental a été confié à l’artiste Adec. Baptisée « Passeur d’eaux douces », cette œuvre représente un grand oiseau sur lequel promeneurs, touristes et habitués du site peuvent découvrir de multiples détails à mesure qu’ils s’en approchent, autant de petites histoires, dont l’artiste a eu l’inspiration grâce à ses rencontres sur le site.
Une invitation à réfléchir sur la relation entre l’homme et la nature.

On the 17th of December I had the honour of talking at the ADEC exhibition in Melbourne. My painting was featured on the front cover of their catalogue. I was asked to speak on my journey into the art world. It was such a pleasure and honour. I was very fortunate to win the 2017 ADEC award for this personal piece called ‘Hidden Pieces’ which is a smaller replicate of a piece I painted for my personal collection. It is my life. I am the turtle. Swinging through the ocean. Only forwards not backwards. The bright colour shell is my personality, my bright bubbly personality, I don’t do beige.
